Spigen Rugged Armor Designed for Pixel 7 Pro Case (2022) - Matte Black

My previous Spigen case was finally cracked after many accidental drops. The durability and protection really spoke to the quality of Spigen cases. Really glad that they are still selling cases for several generations-old phones. This case is even better than my last one it has an ever slight grippy texture as opposed to my last one which could become slippery from oily or sweaty hands. Fit is perfect and trust it will last a long time.

Probably not many people buying pixel 7 pro cases these days, but I always like the thrift of a used former flagship! Slapped it on my phone right away. Got a couple others to try, but this leaves a good impression. Construction: The case material, including the back, has a very fine texture- sort of like paper. I will test a PopSocket and update if it has trouble sticking. The bottom of the back has a nice-looking carbon fiber accent, with the rest of the case a clean matte black. The material isn't super grippy(won't stick in pockets) but has knurled sides for grip instead. Important for a phone that's quite heavy compared to my past devices. The buttons are an IMPROVEMENT to the stock buttons, which are, to my fingers, too flush and hard to press. The case gives them more bulk and a satisfying click. Fit: I have a TPU front screen protector and a glass camera shield on the back and it mostly fits over it. If the front protector is just a little misaligned, though, it will hike up the edge because of how snug it fits. It only did 1 corner for me which I fixed by lifting the case with my nail and tucking it back down. Maybe if I didn't have the glass over the camera it would fit better? But the fact that it can deal with the tempered glass over the camera means a magsafe sticker would probably be fine too. You could likely also install thin foam inside, or perhaps thermal interface strips for cooling(I might try that for gaming!) Protection: This is a very snug case with little extra material. The corners have the advertised "air cushions" which may add more shock absorbtion there. In the front, the very top and bottom lip are raised, creating enough space to slip an index card under the screen when face down. There is no protection crossways, which is forced by the "waterfall" screen design of the phone- it's either this or cover part of the screen and break gestures! The camera also has a raised lip around it. The ports for the microphones, speakers and port line up with room to spare, accomodating a right-angle USBC connector.

I've had the case for over a year now and ive probably dropped my phone hundreds of times. No scratches on my phone or the case. Durable plastic with a lip over the screen.

Another perfect fit Rugged Armour. These are my favorite phone cases since they provide edge protection, don't drag against my pants pockets' lining, and always fit the device exactly. The slight bump up at the edges also means I skip using a screen protector (but still have to be mindful of not storing the device with metal keys or other things that can scrape the glass). Only negative on past models has been it takes a wee bit extra force on the side buttons (because of the layer of TPU on top of them) which you especially notice doing things like a screen capture. That feels "better" on this model like they may have made the material thinner at that spot to compensate. The price has gone up a little, but what hasn't... This is maybe my 6th Rugged Armor case (different phones), and they've all fit perfectly and outlasted my ownership of each device. Highly Recommended.

Spigen Rugged Armor is a perfect case to my Google Pixel 7 Pro, as to fitting, style and durability!

I had no intention of writing a review on the case even though I've liked it from the start. The reason behind my review now is it has proven itself over and over, most recently a fall from atop the car at 50mph. It was accidental left on the roof and after turning on the road and getting up to speed I heard it tumble and then seen it fly behind me in the rear view mirror. I thought it was over, crappy reman phone here I come. Turned around in next driveway and was lucky no cars where coming, picked it up from middle line. To my surprise it was no damage to the phone, screen was good everything was good. The case has some road rash on the corners but was still in good shape. I would recommend this case to anyone and will purchase again when needed.

Using rugged armour cases since the past 7-8 years. The are great quality product, provide good protection & have a life of about 2-3 years after which they start showing signs of aging!! Better than ultra hybrid, liquid crystal, liquid air cases!! Highly recommended!!

I've always had good luck with the Spigen cases since I started with Pixel 3, now I'm using Pixel 7 Pro. The cases held up longer than the phones. The case looks good, feels nice in the hand, and doesn't slip or attract dirt or fingerprints. The fit is perfect. I've dropped my phone a few times onto hard surfaces and it never broke so I guess it does a good job protecting my phone.

Ich nutze die Spigen Rugged Armor Hülle für mein Google Pixel 8 und bin absolut zufrieden. Der Schutz ist erstklassig – mein Handy ist mir bereits mehrfach aus der Hand oder aus der Tasche gefallen, und dank der Hülle hat es jedes Mal unbeschadet überstanden. Besonders die verstärkten Ecken und das flexible, aber robuste Material sorgen für eine sehr gute Stoßdämpfung. Trotz des hohen Schutzes ist die Hülle angenehm schlank und unauffällig. Sie trägt nicht zu dick auf und fühlt sich in der Hand sehr angenehm an. Das schlichte, matte Design mit den dezenten Carbon-Details sieht zudem hochwertig aus. Wer eine zuverlässige Schutzhülle für sein Pixel 8 sucht, ohne dabei auf ein schlankes und unaufdringliches Design zu verzichten, ist mit der Spigen Rugged Armor bestens beraten!
