Purchased this heated pad to put in the "Kat House" for our (3) outside cats. They loved it! Before they were only going in this particular house when it rained. After the heated bed was put in, all three were in the Kat House every night throughout cold weather and, could be found peeping out during the cold winter days. Just seeing how warm & comfortable they were in their little house made this one of the best items I have ever purchased! Not bulky or too thin. Has a timer or you can leave it on depending on needs. Does not overheat/burn. I put it underneath a thin cover. The heated bed has a removeable. washable cover that looked like new even after repeated washings. Recommend.

It works just as described, so far so good. It has easy to adjust settings. The only caution I would suggest is putting a towel underneath it, if it's on carpet , as I'm not sure how carpet fibers would be effected by having continual heat on them. So we have a layer of towel, then this pad, and on top of it, we have his dog bed as he's used to his dog bed. Some dogs tend to dig at their bedding to get comfy, and I'm not sure this would hold up to that kind of treatment, so we put the pad under the dog bed and he can fluff up his dog bed to his heart's content.

Given the reviews I started at a six and returned at 20 minutes to put my hand on it. It was very warm! I put it down to three before letting my dog on it! It’s also noticeably warm to the touch at this setting! I don’t know what people expected from this when writing all of these reviews. These settings would even cook me and I’m 260lbs. It seems to be of quality and built with safety in mind. It’s only the first day. But, I felt the need to say this given all of the contradicting reviews. As for everyone rating it poorly because they can’t keep their dog from chewing the cord; people are disgustingly disappointing. It says it’s chew resistant, meaning they made it more durable than a typical cord. The burden is on you to teach your dog basic chew discipline for its own well being.

Reviews on this seem to be mixed, but all I can do is be honest and say so far this has been great for me. My cat was the runt of the litter and has always been thin and bony - no matter how much I feed her - so she definitely feels the winter cold more then most and this seemed like a good solution. The heating pad is a great size for a cat or small dog, and the cord is securely encased to prevent chewing. You can set it to 2,4,8,12, or 24 hours on with six different temperature levelsPlenty of people seem to complain it doesn't get warm enough but I've seen no evidence of that. I find power level 4 with a towel thrown on top of the pad to be perfect. This isn't like a regular heating pad where you'd want to feel the heat - it's made for pets and so emanates heat a little differently. Love being able to set it for 12 hours and not worry about my cat getting cold at night.The only concern I have is a lot of reviews state after a couple of months their heating pads suddenly stop working. I've been using this daily since early January and here in mid March I'm hoping mine will be the exception and not break - if something happens I will update this review, At this time however, I'm very happy with this purchase!

All of my cats love this thing! It's the perfect warmth to keep them warm in the winter and honestly, they used it all through the summer too (cause of all the A/C). They would try to kick each other off the pad and hog it for themselves! I decided to get a larger one. You can see in the photo the pale grey is the 28" that we have had since March. The darker grey is the new 35" that I just received! It's much bigger and will be better for sharing. If you have more than 1 cat, you should get 2 or get the 35" so they can share easily. They love it so much that if I move the heating pad, they will eventually migrate to its new location. They also enjoy it with a thin fluffy blanket placed on top of it for extra softness. Keep in mind that both pads are the same exact colour, so the colour will fade over time, but I never even noticed until the new one arrived. Once I plugged in the new pad, my cat immediately jumped onto it and started enjoying it! You can see her on the new 35" in the last photo in comparison to the 28".*Update*Both my cats loving the new bigger heating pad, they can both stretch out and enjoy the warmth together! They spend 90% of their day on it. I usually leave the heat at Level 5 for 12 hours and will turn it on whenever I notice it's off.

I like how warm it gets when someone lies down on it. I like that the soft cover creates enough pressure for a little heat, at least on the highest setting (I love that there are so many settings for heat and time, though I never need a timer). The soft cover actually blocks almost as much heat as it stirs up, so, even on the highest setting, it warms up only after being stepped onto by the pet. It helps fully dry towel dried pet fur and makes a warm bed for colder winter nights. I would rather it were softer and more flexible, so it could compliment the top of an extra soft cushion. The green lit indicator dots are a minor extra I can't help liking, especially for setting the temperature at night. It would be nice to have a summer also version of this mat, that could plug in and be set to various cooling levels, if that could be a thing.

Rarely leave reviews and didn't have overly hight hopes but these are brilliant. Had them running nearly full time since purchasing a month ago and the electric has barely altered. Lay them underneath a bed and blanket and the cats can't get enough of them. 6 heats settings and number 3 is plenty, a quick touch and doesn't feel much but once they have been on them a short sleep you can feel the heat roaring through. Anything above then feels just too hot. Perfect with a blanket folded over them. Very impressed. This is not a paid review, but a legit, genuine purchase that the cats have approved unlike most things I get them.

I'm very impressed with this pad. It may save the life of your day old kittens (when mom leaves them for an hour or two - as cat moms strangely seem to do.) (Dogs are different, and don't leave their puppies for the first 12 hours - until their bladders are exploding.)The pad cover is nice, and the timer function is great, and lets you set it to stay on forever too.The anti-chew metal wrapping around the power cord is a great idea for dogs (and idiot cats who like to chew cords. Ask me how I know!)I recommend this pad, (and if you're using it or another heating pad for young kittens (or puppies) - remember to just put it under part of the kitten/puppy bed - so that the little ones can crawl away from the heat (if it gets too much) - otherwise, you could possibly 'cook' a little one. :(

Some reviews say "not warm enough" but the tech here is that it warms once contact from the pet laying on it. We have 5, one for each dog and our cat for the living room and their beds. Unfortunately the last 2 nights we've gotten an error code soon after turning it on, therefore not functioning. What is also unfortunate is the return window closed by just 18 days of this order.... Not sure I'd buy this brand again since this is the second heat pad that has done this. I thought the first one was random but now it's frustrating and not worth the waste and constant buying new every time.
