Jeffers is an amazing author. This book is beautiful. I love the perspective it teaches kids. It was slightly depressing because it’s very realistic. I’m happy to have it in my collection

I suspect some will accuse this book of being “woke” as it is centred around humans need to constantly be battling over land (space) based on the writer’s experience of trying to explain the Northern Ireland conflict to people. As a person from the same small part of the earth it was very relatable and uses the concept of space travel to describe our history. My only critique is the story feels like it has no conclusion or “the end” moment but a firm favourite in our house!
