Sun Company ZiprComp - Micro Ball Compass with Lanyard | Zipper Pull Compass for Jacket, Parka, or Pack

I want to carry a compass at all times, just in case. This one is almost perfect and far better than any others I have seen. I do wish that the orange markings on the card were phosphorescent. The arrow, at the least, should glow for a while. A tritium vial for the pointer would be too much to ask for, but I can dream big. The small size is perfect, just about the same thickness as the other stuff I wear as a pendant. I'm amazed that there is no air bubble like larger versions have. Well done!

This little ball compass works better than my larger flat compass.

Good quality, no question. It is, though, a bit different. There's two opposite readings on the ball. Read the back of the bubble-pack card to know how to read it. Not intuitive.

I thought this would be a small lightweight addition to my daypack that would hold general direction. Unfortunately, this Compass does not meet that criteria. Out of the package I noticed it was not orienting north correctly. I put it next to one of other compasses and confirmed that this Compass actually put north going slightly east. I understand that this a cheap Compass Ian I had no expectations other that it point the right way. It failed in its most basic function.I would not recommend this at all unless you want an excuse to stay lost

This is a great little compass for those of us who need to be sure they are headed in the right direction. I would not rely on it for hiking,because of its size. It is better suited for an urban environment, say you arrived at a large train station and you need to go out the west exits, not the east. I like the direction of travel feature. For my use, clipping it on a backpack, the cord could have been a little longer.

I use this all the time, primarily for determining sun angles when setting up in a new RV site. Sometimes I want sun and sometimes I want shade. I don’t want full sun on my refrigeration, mot of the time. It’s handy.

Great little compass. Brilliant idea with the 2-way reading options. Only issue was the lanyard cord broke in less than a day. Better quality cord is needed.

I wanted a small compass I could clip onto a zipper for urban guidance. This little gem is exactly what I was looking for. It is accurate (not using it for orienteering) for my need for direction in the city. There are two gauges, which initially caused me some confusion. The smaller one on top is oriented N-S. The larger one will give you the direction you are going as you hold the compass in front of you (these two are exact opposites). Once I realized that, it’s useful as it saves you a step in transposing. Haven’t had it for long, so no report on reliability, but for the price, a good purchase.

I prefer this kind of sphere-shaped and disk-shape compass. The disk-shaped one is easy to get stuck in the liquid so the pointed direction is wrong. NOTICE that the outer marks (N, S, etc) are in the opposite to the inner ones, because the outer ones are for driving when you look at the compass from the side, NOT from the top.

Works great! I keep it on my keys as an EDC with a little torch and folding knife. It's been banging around them and keys in my pocket for a month now and is perfectly fine. Great quality and a very reasonable price. I use it as a rough guide back to work when I get a bit distracted in my local nature reserve on my lunch break. And the ball nature of it means no northern/southern hemisphere issues. Edit: 16/22 - been hanging on my keys for 2 years and still going strong despite the punishment of being mashed up against hard keys every day in my pocket.

Decent size not too big not to small, it is accurate, has a sturdy string aswell. Only down side is that the compass popped out of the plastic holder, but as it has a sticky pad on the bottom I just popped it back in and pushed it fairly hard, it has not come out since. All in all a fairly good compass

上から見た方角は、内側の白い文字＆網目の方。 横から見た方角は、外側のオレンジの文字の方。 商品説明に載せておけばいいのに…。 と思ってパッケージ裏を見たら、しっかり載ってるし。 コレをこっちにも載せときなよと。 方角は、スマホのコンパスアプリと比べた感じでは概ね正確。 デザインも良い感じだし、動かしても割とすぐに止まるのも良いと思う。 耐久性に関してはこれからだけど、他のレビューを見るに、紐の根本に接着剤を付けとくなりするといいのかも？
