Patience, but works flawlessly.
This item worked perfectly for us, but a word of caution, wiring it up could be difficult for some not electronically inclined. For our purposes, we used this because we had to run an hdmi cable thru a wall and corrugated tubing that was too small for the HDMI head on the cable to fit through. So we had to cut one of the HDMI cable ends off so the cable would go thru the tubing. We used this new HDMI Connector to replace the severed head or cable end we had cut off previously. The hard part is knowing where to place each wire into the connector.(there may be up to 21 wires in your hdmi cable). What we did was use a Female to Female HDMI coupler to figure out exactly where to place the wires. Here's how to do it: Strip the wires on the severed hdmi head (connector) and plug that end into the Female to Female coupler. Next connect the coupler into this New HDMI plug. Using a multimeter, set your meter to OHMS. Now take one of the test leads from your meter and touch any wire on the severed connector, then while you are holding that lead to the wire on the severed connector, touch the other test lead to the terminal block pins until you find continuty. Voila, you have found where that wire should go so place that same color wire from the HDMI cable you are repairing into that spot. Repeat this process until All wires are connected into the block. test to make sure it works and you are done

Correct size and seems to be well made. Arrived on time.
Should be stated ad that no instructions are included. Soldering instructions would be nice for us novices.

Over priced
Unable to use, no instructions, HDMI does not have a standard for wire colors. So I would have to buy 2 of these.. but its cheaper to buy a brand new cable.

If you can, dissect the damaged connector and map out the wires.
Worked well for me. I had pulled a 30 foot HDMI cable through my wall and damaged one of the connectors when I pivoted my TV on the wall mount. I was able to dissect the damaged HDMI male connector on my cable and map out all the wires. You can find an HDMI pin numbering diagram online. Then it was a simple matter to connect the wires to the appropriate numbered connectors on this breakout block. I had purchased two of these blocks plus two female two female to female connectors. I plugged the second block into the good end of my HDMI cable. Then with a multimeter I was able to quickly check continuity to all the pins by touching the screws on each breakout box. The biggest challenge I found was closing the breakout block if you haven’t stripped the wires back far enough. Using this product I see no degradation in my 4K video. In order to prevent future problems I connected a short, easily replaceable, HDMI cable from my TV to the 30’ cable in the wall.

Works well
For proper wiring I'd suggest using a female to female adapter and plug the good end of the HDMI cable into one side of the adapter and the new HDMI end into the other. Cut the damaged end of the HDMI cable off and strip the sheath back about 1.5 to 2 inches. Then strip the individual wire ends and do a continuity check with a multimeter on each wire to locate the proper terminal by holding one lead to a wire and touching the other lead to each terminal (screw head on top of each terminal) on the new HDMI end until you locate the proper placement for each wire. Make sure not to strip the wires back too much, otherwise you will run the risk of them contacting the bare ground wires if they are exposed. Took a couple hours to complete but seems to work well.

Damaged HDMI end repair
If you have a damaged end on a HDMI cable that is passing through a wall and can not be replaced this is what you need to repair it. To do the work you will also need a multimeter, 2 alligator clips, and some fine wire to trace out the 19 wires inside the bundles. Double check all of your wire connections through the terminal with a multimeter before connecting to your TV. When you are done I recommend a female to female HDMI plug and a short HDMI cable to protect your repaired HDMI cable. Plan on at least 2 hours and a helper to complete this repair.

Nice little break out box.
Handy break out box for experiments or special designs. Gives you access to the pins.
