All around PraNa fit/style review!
I recently ordered like 8 pairs of PraNa women's hiking pants for comparisons on styles and sizes and I'm probably even more confused HA! Since PraNa has so many different styles and fits I'm going to include my review of the 4 styles I have so you can compare if you already have one style. So, I'll start with my measurements I am a 5'10, 150lbs, 34B, pear shape, large booty/thighs, normally a 27/28 (6-9)tall pant gal and seriously each style/size/color fits SO differently. In the MEME pants I found that both the 6 & 8 (inseam measured while wearing was 31") fit great (PraNa true fit said I should order size 6). BUT when hiking in the size 8 I felt super restricted and I found the MEME pants didn't have as much give or stretch as the HALLE pants when climbing or taking larger steps on the trail. The crotch was longer too and I kept pulling them up so my crotch wasn't sagging down, loosened a little throughout my hike. Style wise these are super cute, and I loved how the skinny pant wore with my hiking boots. Cargo pockets fit tissues nicely-that's about all, I used the back pocket for my iPhone 6+. No drawstring inside. [I kept both the size 6 coal & 8 cargo green]In the BRENNA pants I found them to be WAY too short for me (I typically like a 33" inseam, but can handle a 31" if I really like the pants), the size 6 measured while wearing was 29" inseam and I felt had the best fit for me; the size 8 was 30" inseam and had a little looser of a fit. Super cute, but just too short for a tall girl like me. The "knee detail" was super cute and the material was a lot thicker and closer to a colored denim- not as much stretch as the HALLE or BRIANN pants. No drawstring inside. [I sent both cargo green back]In the BRIANN pants I found the more comfortable size to be 6 (tall, I think the inseam was 32"). I was, in error, sent an 8 (short) and found them to obviously be way too short (28" inseam) and the crotch hung down way too low. The BRIANN size 6 tall were probably my favorite skinny pant of the 3 styles, which I wasn't expecting! They have a good amount of give when walking, but don't sag down when you have the proper size. No drawstring inside. [l kept the 6T coal and sent back the 8S moonrock]In the HALLE I can wear an 8 & 10 (tall) comfortably-but when hiking is where you really tell the difference in the styles and sizes; the size 10 definitely started loosening throughout my hikes. The tall inseam is seriously 36" and a little too long, but I didn't hem them-with my hiking boots they don't drag. I prefer the size 8, but the drawstrings inside helped when the size 10 started loosening throughout my 15 mile hike. The one front pocket fit tissues nicely-that's about all, I used the back pocket for my iPhone 6+. These are my overall favorite pants of the 4 styles, the size 8 is my new go-to. I recently ordered them in a size 6 to see how they fit-will update when I receive them. Drawstring inside. [I kept 10T dark khaki, 8T coal, and just ordered raisin 6T.]

Stretchy, comfortable, fantastic hiking pants
These are my new favorite pants! I'm a casual hiker who would like to get into it more, so I've been building my collections of hiking clothes. It's always been challenging to find pants that fit me well, and extra challenging to find hiking pants that fit me well. I saw this brand at REI and decided to check it out on Amazon. These pants came up and based on the reviews, I decided to try them out.I'm hippy, I have a butt and thick thighs. It seems like most women's hiking pants are not built for my frame, but these fit me wonderfully. I normally wear a 14-16, sometimes a 12, so I decided to try these in a 16 since I didn't want them to be tight. They fit me about as perfectly as they can - just tight enough in the hips & waist to keep them up, but loose enough to be comfortable. They make my butt look awesome too, so that's a plus! They have real pockets, though not huge, but not laughably small like many other womens' pants. Two normal hip pockets, two button-close back pockets and a discreet cargo pocket that's almost big enough to fit my iPhone 6+ in my Otterbox case, but not quite. Not a big deal. They also have belt loops, which are handy, as well as an inner drawstring in case you don't want to wear a belt or if they stretch out after a day of hiking.I'm about 5'8" and my inseam is typically around 33". These say 32" and I didn't measure to confirm, but they are the perfect length for me. Tall would have been too long. The legs do flare out a bit, but I like the look. The material is decently thick, so these will be great for cooler temperatures. It's also stretchy so these don't restrict movement at all. I was able to easily step up onto a bar stool with one foot still on the floor, so these are definitely flexible enough for scrambling up rocks and the thick material will help protect my skin. The only feature I'm not super in love with is the roll-up function. I think my pants are too bulky for it to look as cute as it does on the model, but if I need to hike through water, I know I'm going to appreciate being able to snap them up and out of the way, knowing they'll be held securely in place.I already love these pants so much I bought 2 more pairs - the moonrock & dark khaki and I'll get black when they're available in my size again. I have a feeling these are going to be my staple work and hiking pants during cooler weather.

Favorite Pant In My Wardrobe
Prana Halle pant is my favorite pant. This is my 4th pair in black because I wear this color more than the green or beige. I hem the tall inseam about an inch to get a true 35 inch inseam length. This recent pair has returned to the traditional higher-quality fabric. Some previous pairs were flimsier. This fabric stretches, dries quickly in water or from sweat. I wear these year round even through the winter. The colors never seem to fade and I wash after wearing twice. I have had some of mine for 4 years and they don’t wear out. The only time I don’t wear these are the hot humid months during the summer when I switch to Columbia Capri pants in a similar fabric. The Halle pant can be worn as a Capri in a pinch, but for an everyday cooler fabric style the folded and snapped fabric is a bit bulky for me, but they are perfect for hiking when you need to shed heat or capture it with temperature and altitude changes. The only reason they get a 4 and not 5 stars is I always reinforce the area between the legs where the seams cross with more stitching when I first receive them. They may be more durable now but I’m not taking the risk. I have thick inner thighs and they have split on me years ago, so I reinforce with more stitching as soon as I get them and I’ve not had an issue doing it that way.

Description a bit misleading
Nice pants but be aware of two things... The inseam is 29 inches, not 30. And the description says material 100% cotton and then outer material 97% nylon 3% Lycra. The latter is correct, there is zero cotton in these pants.

Too low, pockets too small
Unfortunately I will be returning this item. I had high hopes, as many of the reviews reported how great these pants are for tall people! At 5'10" and 145 lbs, I generally need a 34-36" inseam so was really hoping these pants would work. Unfortunately the rise is so low, I essentially have to choose between a muffin top or a camel toe (and I'm not a big person by any means). Along with the rise, the pockets are also circa 2004 in depth (meaning they're basically useless) I was hoping the thigh pocket would at least fit my phone (iPhone XR with a case), but unfortunately I wasn't even able to get it in, let alone easily slide it in and out.On the plus side, the material seems nice, and I'll admit, they were plenty tall enough (perfect length actually). The roll up feature is really nice too. But sadly the utility is really impacted by the small pockets and extremely low rise.

Nice hiking pant
Good for hiking, i had bought the same style Halle pant 5 years ago and was quite happy with them. I was expecting this new pair to be made of the same tough slightly stretchy fabric as the old one, but the new pair is very very stretchy. The extra stretch makes them easier to walk uphill in but don't know how well they'll do on rocks in the mountains. Also, the new pair has a big leg pocket which is great, the older style had this tiny little thing that couldnt even hold a granola bar.Cons (same as old pair): hip pockets are still tiny you can barely put your hands in, legs very wide and with the stretch they may be a hindrance on the mountains, I'll be cutting off the straps for rolling up the legs (the straps are pretty ridiculous they only roll up the last 4 inches of pant), and I'll be cutting off the last inch or so of leg as the regular inseam is too long for my 5'6 self, and the drawstring on the inside the belt area i took out, it didnt do anything except get stuck in the zipper when i put them on.

Love the tall fit, need more pairs
I can't remember what pants I used to wear out in the field before I bought these pants. As a Field Biologist, I work in all sort of conditions, often bush whacking my way through densely forested areas. These pants do everything I need - they fit perfectly so I'm not constantly readjusting them, they stretch nicely for climbing over stumps, logs etc, they can take a pretty solid beating from raspberry and rose bushes and come out unscathed. My one complaint would be that I wish the waist came up a little higher. As it is, I need to wear running spandex shorts under them to make sure my shirt stays tucked in all day, otherwise my shirt would be coming untucked all the time. And when you work in places with ticks that carry Lyme, this is something you really don't want to have to worry about all day long. But, because they're great in all other aspects, I just accept that and bring in the spandex. Will definitely be purchasing another pair soon.

Best fitting pants (that aren't leggings) EVER!
These pants blew my mind. When I ordered them, I thought they were jeans-like (which they aren't), and I was a bit bummed out...until I tried them on. Wow!I'll be honest here: I have a hard time finding pants that fit because I have a small waist compared to my big, muscular butt and thighs. I only wear leggings and jeggings, otherwise if my pants fit my lower body, I have a big gap in my lower back, and when I crouch, half my a** is hanging out. Not a cute look...until I put these on.These pants have a wide waistband that sits just above the hips. To ensure that they stay put, there's a drawstring inside! Genius! They're slightly higher at the back than at the front, and they passed the crouch test! The pockets on the butt are properly placed (it's a thing, trust me), making these pants super flattering. The length is perfect on me (short inseam, I'm 5'6" with short legs). The material is not too thick (making them too hot for summer) or too thin (making them pointless for cool weather), and has a nice stretch to it, making fun stuff like walking and moving around possible and comfortable. Crazy, I know! They slightly flare below the knee, making them fall nicely over shoes. The discreet snap buttons give you the option of rolling them up. If you get the proper inseam length, they'll work perfect. Some previous reviewer complained about the front pockets being too small to put stuff in... They're not cargo pants, nor do they pretend to be.
