IT REALLY WORKS!!!
Bodum 1446 Latteo Milk Frother The Espresso machine I recently bought makes fantastic coffee but I simply cannot get the milk frother/steamer arm to produce lovely true cappuchino froth- tried every method known ,even invented some of my own-no joy.So when I saw this product and read what everyone else said .... thick foam, fantastically easy, magic etc I was still a bit sceptical. I bought this frother anyway and as soon as it arrived made my espresso and put it to the test. To say I am impressed doesn't do this fantastically magical little gizmo justice. I looked at the amount of milk that is recommended and thought, how can what looks like a simple cafetaire turn this into thick spoonable long lasting foam?. The gizmo was placed on its dinky little cork base and I pumped the plunger 60 times the results were some sort of miracle the almost tripled in volume milk was put in the microwave for just under a minute on full and the finished "froth" ( froth is the totally wrong word as it implies something light and flimsy) was a thick, sweet, almost meringue looking cloud of sheer loveliness that didnt vanish after the 1st sip or sunk under the weight of a few chocolate sprinkles. I can now enjoy cappuchinos that I would normally have had to buy in a high street coffee house.I am aware that the glass is meant to be fragile and can break just by looking at it but I washed it up as gently as I would bath a baby and it now lives in its own litle cupboard away from anything which could cause it harm, should this fanastic little gizmo shatter then so would my heart.

WOW - Incredible Milk Frother !!
Bodum 1446 Latteo Milk Frother I am an avid cappuccino drinker and very fussy!!!!Today my Latteo Milk Frother was delivered. I put skimmed milk to the level on the jug and pumped the plunger as instructed. Nothing much seemed to have happened and I was pumping for ages. However, I then put the jug in the microwave to warm the milk up and within less than a minute the froth was rising to the top of the jug - it is an amazing product. I only plunged my next cappo for about 20 seconds, I'd obviously got the knack by now!! - tip: Cool Jug, Skimmed Milk from fridge, microwave plunged milk :)I'm now on my sixth cappo of the day. To make them extra tantilising I put a drop of Baileys in - only when I know I'm not driving that day!!!To recap then:-Spoon of coffee in a nice cappo cup. Drop of cold water onto the coffee so that the beans aren't burnt. Put half of the milk into the jug and the other half of the milk in the microwave to warm up. Whilst the kettle is boiling do the plunger bit with the milk. Add a drop of hot water to the cup, along with Baileys and pour on the milk just heated from the microwave - stir. Pop the plungered milk into the microwave for as long as you can, before it starts rising to the top of the jug and then pour into the cup and stir as you go so that the frothy milk is mixed in. There will be plenty of froth left to top the cup off.Superb. You only need to warm up half of the milk first in the microwave, if you're adding a liquer or something, because otherwise the drink will not be warm enough. Only takes a couple of minutes - superb!!I bought this item to take abroad with me because I can then sit in the sun on my balcony sipping my favourite coffee and I will save lots of money making my own.It is so light that it won't take up any weight in my suitcase. This is the most brilliant cappo make I've come across and I've used lots of them.

Works really well
This is really effective. I've tried it with oat milk and cow's milk. Cow's milk produces a denser foam that lasts much longer, right down to the bottom of the drink. Oat milk foams up well but it dissipates too quickly, but that the fault of the milk and not the frother.I've tried 2 ways:- heat the mill 1st then froth- froth the milk then heatIf you froth 1st then heat you need to watch it like a hawk in the microwave as the foam then expands and spills over the top. I now prefer to heat for a few mins then froth, then make the coffee and stir in my syrup of choice, and then give the milk another 25-30 seconds as it expands a little more. Then pour it over the coffee for a really nice foamy latte! My only grip is that when you are frothing it up milk can leak over the top, but only a small amount. Then taking the frother out of the jug can cause a bit of a mess.

Cappuccino Time!!
For some reason I considered reviewing this item from its arrival in my post .. and I'm glad I took the time so I could share my findings ..I've given it an all round 5 star rating! .. because .. its easy to use, easy to clean, light yet robust.. and above all - effortless does what you buy it for QUALITY FROTH!It could be a new learning on my part .. but I've never frothed COLD milk before .. so those like me who did not realise, if you don't mind your froth chilly .. then I found you get maximum density this way (images are with COLD milk). I did of course try the hot milk pathway .. results; fairly rubbish with Skimmed Milk, and I found with Semi-Skimmed it watered my coffee - which, as you can image is squirmish to taste ..On the coffee side - found making my coffee a tad stronger than usual created the right balance.Price was very good when I bought it .. so no brainer, even if like me - you've got umpteen choices of the same thing :))UPDATE .. I've just frothed cold SKIMMED milk - WOW!! so this contradicts what happens with skimmed hot milk. So this Frother is suitable for any cow based milk .. cannot vouch for plant based milk - as yet!Hope this helps ..Cappuccino

Manuel et efficace
Un peu de lait , 30s au micro ondes , quelques coups de pompage 30s-1min et ça marche à tous les coups : une mousse onctueuse , mieux que celle de ma cafetière latissima

Great value for money
I bought this to replace the glass cup of my Chambord milk frother. This whole set was cheaper than the real spare part and my chambord frother works pervectly with this glass cup.

Schaumige Sache... ;-)
