Another stunning Uncharted game.
Now I've completed this game I can say it really is a most excellent and very worthy addition to the Uncharted franchise. I got a great price pre-ordering this game and also got the code for a free Jak and Daxter game via email as promised. Plus a code with the game itself for additional multi-player content. So all good in that respect. Following up Uncharted 4 A Thief's End, is a pretty tall order and I was aware that this game was more of a spin off rather than a full Uncharted game. But this does not mean that it is a lesser experience. The Lost Legacy is a stunning addition in it's own right. The graphics are beautiful really stunning as we've come to expect since Uncharted 4 and the gameplay is all there. It's another great adventure with two important distinctions. 1. Different principle characters, Nathan Drake is retired and the focus throughout the game is squarely on Chloe and Nadine and this works brilliantly. 2. The game is shorter than the others and is based entirely in India. All the controls are familiar so there is a very easy learning curve here. Shooting, reloading, rope swings and jumping are all the same as before so it's easy for the muscle memory to get you right into the game. The story is solid and builds rapidly into some quick fire action. There is a great balance of action and exploration. None of the puzzles are too challenging. If anything one criticism is that a few puzzles of a more challenging nature could have added to the mix a little. But it keeps the game flowing as the story progresses. At every turn there is something new and impressive to behold. Making for a gaming experience that is a real joy. A one point in the later levels I found myself experiencing the sense of wonder that I last felt many years ago when discovering some of the beautiful level design in the very first Tomb Raider game. For a while I just wanted to sit back and take in the gorgeous level design and beautiful artistry on show. The enemies are as before not so intelligent but they do go and search for you when spotted. And the character control is fluid with the same small occasional trip ups as before but this is superficial criticism. The stealth element of the gameplay is slightly more apparent which is nice as you can challenge yourself to avoid a full on fire fight and progress through a level stealthily. There is a big hidden extra in the middle part of the game that makes for a very satisfying additional component and I would have liked to have seen a few more sub plot/items like that, but that really is nit-picking. The game took me 7h 40m to complete at the first go, so quite a bit shorter that the other Uncharted games but it was worth every penny. It's priced just perfectly for the experience you get and is a fantastic new addition. I really hope that Naughty Dog decide to make more spin off's like The Lost Legacy. It's a barrel of fun and a sweet surprise. Definitely going to get played over again and again.

Enjoyable
This game is is a standalone version of Uncharted which for the first time in the franchise, shifts attention away from protagonist of the first four games, Nathan Drake (whose story was concluded in Uncharted 4). Instead the game protagonist this time around is Chloe Frazer (who featured as one of Drake's companion treasure hunters in Uncharted II and Uncharted III). Chloe is funny, brave, educated, athletic and relatable - very reminiscent of Lara Croft - so if you've never played uncharted before but are a fan of tomb raider, this might fit you. Chloe has hired ex-merc and former and former Uncharted 4 antagonist Nadine Ross to help her find a legendary artefact in India that her father had died looking for. The two have something of a strange chemistry with each other which works rather well and makes Nadine more relatable as her story was fairly vague previously. For the first time we get to know Chloe's back story and get to really know her too. The gameplay features the usual mix of climbing, gunplay, stealth, logic and puzzle solving and exploring you find in Uncharted games, and for the first time ever, this Uncharted game features a completely open map for the entire game as opposed to the slightly linear pre-determined sets of the previous games (so you can decide pretty much which place to go exploring first and can keep exploring until the bitter end as there's a ton of collectibles to find). A lot of gamers claim to be able to complete this in about four to six hours but I spent days on it just really enjoying the gorgeous scenery, the fun puzzles and the banter between Chloe and Nadine. There's also an appearance from Nathan Drake's brother later. The story is easy to follow and the start is quite compelling as we begin in a war torn city and the game really makes you notice and experience how it feels to be in the middle of bombs going off and random gunshots in the night. All in all, I think this is proof Naughty Dog are well capable of continuing the franchise without its main Protagonist - the heart of the game is still there (although some complain there wasn't enough innovation in gameplay). I hope there's more games and I hope to see Chloe and Nadine return as well as some returning faces like Charlie Cutter and good old Sully.

Loved! They done it again!
Loved this game!! Same feel as when you are playing as Nathan Drake. Graphics are amazing as always and there are a few parts that you do stop and gaze at. In this next chapter you play as Chloe Frazer, who has partnered up with Nadine Ross. Yes, same woman you were kicking in the previous game. And of course you are hunting for hidden treasure. The game takes place in India however and you get to explore forests and temples like every uncharted game. It takes place after uncharted 4 however I'm not very sure how long after. You are met with unique puzzles that are not very difficult but fun to do. Gameplay is exactly like uncharted 4 so no need to learn new controls. Chloe however does have a different fighting style to Nathan and I did catch my self from saying "Badass!" Everyso often as you don't get many women leading characters for this type of genre (apart from tomb raider but this game beats them in my opinion). This game lets the player get to know Chloe a lot better then in Uncharted 2. It gives you a quick speech about what happened to her when she was younger (explaining her accent at last!) and you get to see her personality. You also see a funny / more human side to Nadine. I did have apart of the game that lagged really badly that I do regret to say! Right near the end of the game there are many explosions and moving people/ vehicles and I'm not sure if my PlayStation just gave up because I was playing to long (about 4 hours...probably more....) or if it was the game. The dialogue/ sound was fine just it was very slow and Chloe's hair decided to dance on her head. It's been out what two days since release? What game doesn't have something wrong on release? Apart from that (and that the uncharted theme wasn't played at the end) the game was amazing and I would highly reccomend for everyone to try it.

Excellent Uncharted Spin Off Despite A Shorter Campaign.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Genre: Action/ Adventure PS4 Exclusive. Positives. - Stunning Graphics. - Varied Gameplay - Superb Sound Design & Voice Cast. - Good Story & Well Written Characters. Negatives. - Shorter Campaign Synopsis. In order to recover a fabled ancient Indian artefact & keep it out of the hands of a ruthless war profiteer, Chloe Frazer must enlist the aid of renowned mercenary Nadine Ross (from Uncharted 4: A Thief's End). Venturing deep into Indias Western Ghats mountain range, Chloe & Nadine must learn to work together to unearth the artefact & fight their way through fierce opposition to prevent the region from falling into chaos. Timelord Thoughts. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a spin off adventure which takes place after Uncharted 4 where you play as Drakes former love interest & explorer Chloe Frazer who teams up with mercenary for hire Nadine Ross to steal the legendary tusk of Ganesh from falling into the hands of a mad man named Asav. The Lost Legacy features the same level of quality that we’ve come to expect from the series & developers as Naughty Dog deliver the usual high quality gameplay by mixing combat, shootouts & car chases with climbing, swinging & puzzle solving, yes it's more of the same & could be repetitive for some gamers but for those who love the Uncharted series like me will be fully immersed in the storyline of this excellent game. The characters of Chloe & Nadine shine as the game’s leads who together share a great chemistry & the inclusion of Samuel Drake towards the latter stages of the game brings great drama which puts there new partnership to the test as the trio battle against a hostile army in this high stakes action adventure. The graphics are crisp & clear featuring beautiful landscapes, the voice cast including Claudia Black, Laura Bailey & the legendary Troy Baker each inject a sense of charm & likeablity to these characters while the gameplay is both varied & fun, this is a easy pick up & play gaming experience while the inclusion of more puzzles is a welcome inclusion with one particular tricky puzzle which had me cursing obscenities at the screen while the action packed exciting finale on-board a moving train could be straight out of a Die-Hard movie. In fact the only gripe I had was the length of the main campaign which features only 10 chapters which I completed in just under 10 hours & I found most of the hidden treasure on my first playthrough, I understand this is a spin off game & i wasn't expecting it to be as big as Uncharted 4 but I felt it needed perhaps another 5 chapters to do the game justice which would've added about another 5 hours to the main story & given gamers a bit more value for money. Overall, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a fun, exciting action packed spin off that keeps up the quality of previous Uncharted games which hopefully will be the start of a series of spin off games for these characters just perhaps next time Naughty Dog could consider adding a longer campaigning experience.

Fun to play and love the main characters
I haven't played any of the Uncharted games before so I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this one but I liked the setting and the characters based on the trailers so I decided to give it a go. It turns out I do enjoy it, mainly because of the two main characters but also looking for treasure is kind of fun too (who would have guessed). Amazing graphics, it runs smoothly (at least on PS4 Pro), great voice acting, interesting characters and enjoyable story, although the story itself is a bit meh but since Horizon Zero Dawn all background stories seem bland to me so it's probably just me. Oh, also the photo mode is very cool, here are a few screenshots I made with it. I was surprised to see so many bad reviews but it turns out it's from people who don't know how do product reviews work, they're definitely not for complaining about glitches on delivery of bonus content (or delivery in general). Also, if Nathan Drake is the only character in the world that you can love and he's the only reason you've played Uncharted so far then this game is not for you, that has been obvious from the start but there's no shortage of idiots on the Internet.

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!! Great Game BUT!!!!!!!!!
As an a uncharted fan i could not contain my excitement to play this game. Being a female instead of a male was was a lot more fun as the challenges were a lot more complex and more harder, Overall the game was really fun. HOWEVER after only a day of playing it, which is normal amount of time for a day off on the weekend I HAD FINISHED IT!. If i had known the game was going to be that short i would have not played it all in one go. I was so sad when i got to the end and realised that was the game finished. Its defiantly not as long as the others. I would still recommend this game but be prepared on the length of gameplay.

Shorter, but richer for it.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a fantastic, focused entry into the Uncharted series. In my humble opinion, it has the single best level in any Uncharted game. If you enjoyed the famous train level in Uncharted 2, the truck hopping sequence from Uncharted 3, and that extended truck/jeep hopping sequence in Uncharted 4, then you are in for a massive treat. Chloe and Nadine make great stand ins for the main-series protagonists. I found myself warming to Nadine, now seeking a new direction after the events of Uncharted 4. Chloe has more than enough sass and wit to rival Nate's humorous one-liners, and it was interesting to get her take on things having not seen what she's been up to since the events of Uncharted 3. Both are genuine characters in their own rights, and I would love to spend time with them again if Sony or Naughty Dog ever revisit the series. Gameplay-wise, it is essentially more Uncharted 4. The introduction of the series' first optional side-quest gave you something else to do in the open-world part of the game, and had a very worthwhile reward at the end of it. Overall though, the satisfying Uncharted loop of exploration/combat/climbing/puzzle/repeat is here in full force. Sure, the game is shorter than a full Uncharted game but then the price of entry is lower this time. To me, it was worth every penny. A PS4 must-have.

Who needs Nathan Drake ? (Just kidding 😂😂)
The Uncharted series to me is the greatest franchise in video game history and Nathan Drake is probably my favorite character. So when I first heard about The Lost Legacy and the fact that it will not have Nate in it I was worried the game will not deliver up to standards we got used to from Naughty Dog. But I shouldn't have worried as the developers have done it again, they created an other masterpiece. This time around the protagonist in the game is a fan favorite, Chloe, who appeared alongside Nate as an NPC in Uncharted 2 and 3. She is an outsanding character and well deserved to star in her own game. Her co-op partner in this adventure is Nadine, who actually fought against Nate and his brother Sam in Uncharted 4 as a mercenary for hire, but this time around she fights on the right side. The two female leads are a great dynamic duo and the story is interesting and fun, plus the main bad guy, Asav, is also a worthy opponent. He is smart, patient, strong and ruthless. Without spoiling too much, our treasure hunters are after a special tusk in our own country India and you spend most of your time in the jungle, where you enter ancient cities and discover new findings in the rich history of our country. What I love about this game is that Chloe moves differently from Drake and she also has some new weapons and melee moves. I really enjoyed the fighting in this one. There is a lot of platforming and some puzzle solving but mostly it is perfectly paced and the gameplay has enough variety. The controls are smooth and as expected from an Uncharted game, the presentation, graphics, motion capture, music, sound and voice acting is just flawless. The final level in the game is one I will never forget, it starts with a bang and finishes even stronger. There is simply nothing to complain about the game for me, it has a large open world in chapter four where you can ride around in a jeep freely and solve tasks in any order you want, you can ride an elephant, complete missions using stealth or go in guns blazing, the environments are beautiful, the level designs are extremely well made and it has that unique Uncharted feel, the feeling only this franchise can create. My game of the year thus far

Buon divertimento!
