This does NOT fit Marksman 227g Butane Gas Refill 68238C See Addendum
I repeat. This does NOT fit Marksman 227g Butane Gas Refill 68238C like I bought.I still want to use up the Marksman cans so I am going to buy a refillable Primus Gas can and a refiller adaptor.I will then refill primus can from Marksman and then my torches and gas soldering iron from the primus can.I think this adaptor is a good piece of kit.I recommend itAddendumI bought this - Outdoor Camping Stove Connector Gas Bottle Adaptor 28x 38mm Light GoldenIt fits perfectly and now I can use the nice cheap Marksman gas cans.I recommend both

Use good gas and this device will do the job
This device works better than the normal plastic nozzle on a refill can. This fills without leaking but do get good quality gas cans as the gas used in some cheep stove cans is not very good in a solder iron

Does the Job
I wanted this so I could refill my lighter from a gas stove cylinder rather than have to take a separate lighter fuel can. It does the job OK but to start with it did not seem to be filling the lighter. Then I discovered that it had to be screwed onto the cylinder VERY lightly in order to work.

Great piece of kit
Useful for camping as per the other reviews, but I bought it so I could refill the gas tanks on my model stem engines, using butane/propane mix. Better and far cheaper than lighter gas.Well made and seals to the fillers beautifully. Well worth the money. There may be cheaper versions out there but I would not like to compromise where gas is concerned. The fit onto the cannister varies from brand to brand.

Useful, but easy to lose!
Use a torch type lighter so it's heavy on the gas. Use this rather than carry a lighter butane refill as well as camping stove cartridge. No obvious way to tether it, so tends to migrate to bottom of bag.Well made. A lot stronger than the refill valves in many cheap refillable lighters, so use with care.

lighter gass refill adaptor
you cant really praise this item as it only dose what it is designed for, but is a lot better than the plastic refill fittings supplied with lighter gas all in all a good job .

Great gadget
Ideal being able to fill gas lighters when out hiking with the same gas you use for the stove, saves having to carry a separate lighter gas canisters so saves weight and space, just screw onto your stove gas and press into the lighter filler valve, self sealing so no loss of your gas.

Not cheap, but necessary
This was needed to fill a Dremel butane flame torch I had purchased. It's expensive for what it is, but does the job admirably.

Very useful adapter
I do like this adapter. Too bad it does not come with the lower part to attach to the refill can. I had to order that separately. In combination, it does a very adequate job of refilling butane lighters, other types of devices where I need the narrower tube for refilling. A good o-ring seal prevents leakage.

Quality Performance and Lowest Cost. Rock my world.
I usually don't write reviews but I had to describe the setup that I came up with that will work for a lifetime and save me and you a ton of money. The goal is to buy the cheapest butane but maintain the highest quality of butane while being able to store transfer and fill lighters efficiently and safely. First the Primus adapter is a ”must have” buy 2 so you always have a spare then make sure you buy the following from amazon and see my pictures.G-WORKSConvert Adapter, for Nozzle Bottle Type/Butane Gas Cartridge/Canister TO Screw Type Gas/Lindal Valve Canister. These canisters cost 1-3$ for 250 grams. You can also buy Primus but they cost more. (Note there is 28.35 grams per ounce to convert to Ozs so that might help). The G-works adapter presses down on the canister and seals for a ”loose seal” that's ok it does not screw down which is a bad description. The whole set up should cost $40 with shipping and will let you buy more butane separately to go for years. The trick to all of it is buying the Primus filling adapter. I buy Coleman butane because I know the quality is consistent it costs about $2.75 a can but I know it works and it's all Butane. Good luck and make those miracles happen.

Excellent product at a pretty good price
Very well made / solid.Made in Sweden ...I have to say a refreshing change from the flood of inferior Chinese made disposable products that have recently flooded Amazon (and that will soon be pushing the limits of our landfills to capacity)
