I have honestly never had a phone like the S8 before
This phone put's the iPhone to shame. I have honestly never had a phone like the S8 before. It has an expandable storage unit, something to which Apple is to discover, it has quick charging capabilities, always on mode and the Bixby assistant. The phone it's self is fast. it opens apps like Snapchat and Instagram without blinking an eye. On the gaming side of things it can handle all games at a fantastic framerate; Minecraft at 249 FPS, GTA SA at 195 FPS and so much more which I have not discovered yet. It's display allows true blacks which can be handy for apps that have not yet adjusted to the screen resolution, to which a bezel is added (you can't see where the bezel meets the real bar as it's true black). The camera can take photos in amazing resolutions with incredible zoom capabilities. It can record at 1080p 60FPS (You can go higher but at 30 fps). It has 4 ways of unlocking; Face Unlock, Iris Scanner, Fingerprint Scanner and passcode. Face unlock is incredibly accurate and fast too, the fingerprint scanner works but can sometimes be mistaken with the camera and therefore smudging the lens. Iris scanner works as usual although you look a little strange with the phone that close, with the passcode you can chose weather it's numeric or alphabetic. Overall this is a fantastic phone that I would recommend to anyone who wants a durable but good quality phone!

Brilliant Phone that is just So Much More than a communications device
Excellent phone. I have purchased two on Amazon. One sold by Ewonder that was 'New' and one that was 'As New - 14 day return by customer' that was sold by SmartTech Store. Apart from the difference in price they are both excellent. They are both replacements for our old phones which were Samsung Note 4's. The difference over the past few years makes us wonder why we didn't change sooner. The camera is excellent in all conditions and video is also excellent. As a phone (the main reason for using it) it is also excellent. Reception is much better even though we are still in the same house with the same network provider so ther aerial system within the phones must be so much better now. The size and feel of the phone is excellent. We both like the size of the screen and the fact that they have done away with the home button (now just a screen position to touch) makes putting it in the pocket much easier. Sound quality is brilliant and NFC and BT connections work much better. I could not justify paying the extra £400 to buy an S9 compared to this phone as it seems to have just about everything that the S9 has (apart from the much better camera setup) but we have DSLR cameras and the £400 could be much better spend on other things.

Reasonably good, but not as impressive as “hailed” by expert reviews
Good all round phone. However, the curved edges are one of the most annoying and disappointing features. The screen loses completely its responsiveness around those areas near the curved edges, which defies the purpose of having such edges! At least classical, straight perpendicular ends of the screen were/ used to be responsive to the very edge of their surface, in my experience. The Internet connection and also the processing speed not as impressive as claimed or expected. Not particularly happy with the way the invisible Menu button responds and operates either. On some applications, including games and others, where it does not show, it does not always respond promptly, or it does but with a significant delay upon pressing it. Generally, the processes seem much more cumbersome, not as swift and seamless as “promised”.

Large screen, fast performance and great photos
There are so many technical considerations that a buyer could take into account when buying a phone. Rather than try to cover everything in a comprehensive fashion, here are some of the features that I'm particularly enjoying about the Samsung S8 Plus: SCREEN SIZE. I wanted a phone with what I think of as a medium-sized screen. There are definitely larger phones available as well as smaller ones. One of the things I in particular enjoy about this phone is that it is tall rather than massively wide. Having a smaller to medium-sized hand, I found it less comfortable to grip some of the really wide phones that I tried in a shop. Having used this S8 Plus for a while now, I'm very comfortable holding the phone. PHOTO QUALITY. Most cameras these days take photos that have many megapixels in size. However, for me I don't really care about the megapixels - I just want good quality photos. The rear camera takes photos that are excellent. However, I really am impressed with the quality of the forward-facing selfie camera, which takes great photos even in darker or quite dim conditions. FAST CHARGING. My previous phone was charged using micro-USB cable. This Samsung S8 Plus charges both via USB-C and wireless charging. I have noticed that charging via USB-C is faster than charging via wireless. However, it is more fun to use the wireless charger - I have an inexpensive wireless charger which received good ratings here on Amazon and it seems to do the job very well. GENERAL PERFORMANCE. All of the apps and screen animations work quickly and smoothly. I do not play games on my phone, but I do edit Word, PowerPoint and Excel occasionally. All of these apps are noticeably faster than on my previous phone. OVERALL. My preference is to buy phones that are about a year or so older than the very latest phones. That way, I think I get great performance but not at the very highest price. Overall, I am very satisfied with this phone.
