This is a contrary review - as these lights aren't what I expected or wanted but I can't fault them!! I've got quite a few sets of differing solar garden lights and was looking for a set that gave an ambient but brightish light over my garden table for night times under the pergola, not a spot light that would hit you in the face - I thought, from reading the reviews that these would be suitable, not big but bright. The light balls themselves are small and bright but they don't give off a bright light, it's the lights themselves that are bright - so lovely to look at but not what I wanted - hence me not being able to give them a bad review really. I am going to keep these for Christmas lights

I decided to buy these lights to light the inside of my summerhouse in the evening. The lights comprise a solar panel on a rod, a soil spike that fits the rod and pushes into the ground and the string of 20 globe lights. There is an instruction leaflet also. It is really easy to assemble the unit and I pushed the spike into a paint container next to the summerhouse. On the back of the panel is a rubber covered switch which needs to be in one of three positions, on flash and off. I found the switch a little hard to change, it was hard to know if I had put the lights on until they came on later.I also bought a set of clear butterfly lights from Sainsbury's and can compare them as I've had them both for over a week now. The lights all come on, the two sets differ slightly in the time they switch on but only by minutes. The butterfly lights appear to be much brighter, however on overcast and rainy days the globe lights last for much longer than the butterflies, so seem to charge better in low light. The butterfly lights are dimming by 11pm on dull days but the globes go on at full brightness until gone midnight.The two, well three sets now (two butterfly sets) compliment each other perfectly turning the summerhouse into a fairy grotto at night.

So far so good. The weather has been lovely so they've charged well. They work fine and look nice, they are quite bright. The different functions are great too. Will probably buy some more. They were a good price.I put them on the fence, attached around nails. I've had them a few days so can't comment on longevity of the product but I'm happy.

When I purchased them I thought they were going to be bigger than they actually are. Just small bulbs and doesn’t really go far. Work really well though and nice at night

Bought these light for my summer house and they have worked well until this year. I take these in every winter and put them back out in spring. This year they are only giving a glimmer. They were lovely when they first were displayed. Disappointed as the review were good, but only lasted two years...

Put these on and they looked great - by the time i got back in our house they had broken. It wasn't even raining either. Keep trying them and they last for about 2 minutes at a time. Seller would have replaced but not worth time and effort spent on sending back.

I decided to order these for my decking in the garden to give it a nice glow during the evenings. as soon as I unboxed them I quickly assembled them as they go together really easily with the spike going straight into the ground with very little effort.Then come the evening they light up and provided a really nice bright light which was surprising as I wasn't expecting that for the price. As it was pretty cloudy it looks like they charge up well even when there isn't any direct sunlight.I will definitely be investing in some more so I can finish wrapping them around my decking. Highly recommended

The media could not be loaded.  These create a lovely atmosphere whether outdoors or indoors.Purchased for my wife who in this case wishes to have them indoors spread across the windowsill and shelf.Please check out the video review for a demonstration of the 2 lighting modes and automatic lighting feature.Pros:* Great design* Water proof* No batteries required (built in)* Automatic turn on/off during day and night.Cons:* The flashing mode not great. Would be much better as a slow pulse.
