A Jaw-Some Way to Learn About Sharks!
This Shark Tooth Dig Kit is absolutely fantastic! My kids were completely captivated as they carefully excavated genuine shark teeth from the block. The kit includes fossils from 3 different shark species, and the entire experience felt like a mini archaeological dig!The included tools are perfect for little hands, and the educational booklet offers great info about each species of shark. It’s a hands-on, engaging, and educational activity that kept them entertained for hours while learning about science and marine life.A perfect gift for curious kids who love sharks or want to dive into the world of fossils. Highly recommend for STEM learning at home!

Perfect gift idea to capture imagination!
Don’t normally write in depth reviews of things but was a bit hesitant buying this not being sure what to expect but my bought for my boys 6th birthday and he loves both sharks and fossils, rocks, gems etc so this seemed like a perfect combination. The tools were easy for him to use to dig in, we had to add a bit of water occasionally to help break the block up easier but even for his small hands he was managing to dig through ok. I would say smaller children need a bit more help to get through the painted surface of the brick but once they grasp scraping at the surface of the brick it is pretty easy to dig through. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the teeth in the middle and they were all bunched together which was a shame but really that nitpicking, even once found them it took a bit of time dig round them and brush them off to free them safely. We used a little medicine syringe to apply water where needed and found that worked brilliantly to help keep the mess down too.The specimens revealed are brilliant quality little teeth, with a nice bit of info about them in the book with the set. My lad is absolutely amazed by them and has had to ring all the grandparents to tell them about it, he’s learned the names of the sharks and all about each one as it’s really captured his enthusiasm and excitement for fossils.I can’t recommend it enough if your child is interested in this sort of thing, the immersive action of actively digging and excavating the specimens themselves seemed to make him far more in love with them than just ones he’s bought in gift shops etc too.Only advice I would offer is prepare to take your time digging as they look very easy to accidentally break one or even miss them altogether and use a small amount of water when needed. The brick is like a fine clay and the water cleans the teeth off quickly and nicely too, as mentioned I used a little calpol syringe and that was perfect not to get it everywhere of make a mess of it.I will be picking up more of these sets for him from national geographic for definite as he has thoroughly loved this one and I loved the father son time seeing him so excited! Best smiles for pound present I have ever got him!

Fun and rewarding
Bought for myself and it definitely kept me occupied for an evening. As an archaeologist in the current situation I haven’t been out on excavations lately so being able to dig into something that wasn’t just a hole in my back garden was very exciting and definitely something to ease the cravings! It was also exciting being able to dig for my own crystals and seeing what ones I would get, and also to have some more crystals to add to my collection :) Definitely something you could gift a child or teenager/young adult and keep them busy for about an hour. Was very easy to use and good value for money

Good entertainment
Good product for a keen little archaeologist. Was over and done with in 10 minutes and I don't feel that justifies the price but it is well put together and you do get some fossils. Does make quite a mess so make sure it's dug outside or on a sheet etc

BRILLIANT!!!
Bought as a present for my daughters 7th birthday - her and her 9year old sister thoroughly enjoyed digging for the gem stones and then looking them up and learning about them in the book included.yes this kit isnt cheap, but compared to other kits, it offers better value for money. My daughter absolutely loves her gemstones, and regularly looks at them and reads the fact book.

Misleading Size
Why would you have a box this size and just have everything loose? If you're going to make the customer think it's bigger than it is, at least make it neat. And it's shrink wrapped, which is common yes, but annoying and difficult to remove.

Great item for shark lovers
Graat item for shark lovers, my 5 years old loved it. Love the fact of genuine shark teeth. The item is size of my 5 years old son hand for everyone wondering how big it is. The only thing I didn't like is fact, all teeth has been found at the same spot.
