Quick fix
The "waterproof" sensor on my floodlight filled up after a hard rain. This was cheaper and easier to use as a replacement (once you factor in the hassle of reboxing an returning). It's been dry and functioning for months through big storms.

Easy setup and LED compatibility!
I recently replaced the motion sensor on my outdoor floodlights with the EDISHINE 180-Degree Motion Sensor, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Thanks to the clear instructions, the installation was straightforward, and the included wire nuts made hooking everything up a breeze. Adjusting the detection range and delay time was simple, and I could set it just right to avoid unnecessary triggers while still covering the area I needed. One of the best features is the adjustable neck—you can angle the sensor exactly where you want, which made a big difference for my setup. It works perfectly with my LED lights, and the different modes are super convenient. I mostly use the Auto mode, but having the Manual Override and Dusk to Dawn options is a nice bonus. It’s a great, affordable replacement that saved me from buying a whole new floodlight. It’s definitely worth it!

Installed easily exactly per diagram. Motion sensing works just as described.
Bought this to replace an old unit that had become funky. The old one had basically become an on/off switch - any motion at all and it basically came on and stayed on the rest of the night.Installed easily. The diagram in the instructions was a little bit small, but readable. If that's all I had it would have been fine. But the diagram shown in the listing as an image is far easier to read. It's real basic stuff: white to white, black to incoming black/power, yellow to outgoing black/to light.Sensing works as expected. I wanted it to NOT come on too easily and put the sensitivity to minimum / 10'. That works about right. It'll come on if my wife pulls her car up to the garage, but doesn't 'fire off' too easily if something flies by 30' away. That's exactly what I wanted. Can't speak to sensitivity at max-distance if that's what you're looking for.Ditto time-delay works as expected. I set it on 'test' right after installation and went through the 'setup' as the instructions say. Worked fine. If you don't go through the recommended test 'setup' then I'm not sure what it would do. I then set it to ~1 min delay and it's working as advertised. Again, YMMV. I want it to turn off fairly quickly - it's just there to light up when we pull up to the garage, for only long enough to walk inside. I don't want it staying on for a long time.I did have to add a washer to the base of the mounting post, because it wouldn't 'tighten up' enough to be snug to my standard-thickness electrical box. YMMV. Running the threads a little 'deeper' wouldn't hurt.

perfect replacement
original sensor was acting erractically and staying on most of the night. Ordered this replacement sensor instead of a complete motion sensing outdoor security light. Though a completely new light was only a few dollars more, wanted to minimize environmental impact of tossing out my entire light.Wiring was easy. As indicated on the diagram, white and black wires go to the outlet box. But the color for the trigger wire may not match your unit. See how the wires are hooked up on your old unit beforehand.

No more phantom motion detections
I have a motion detector light on our garage, purchased form a Big Box Store, and it has always turned on multiple times in the night for phantom motion events, especially when it rains. I have a security camera right by the light and it never shows motion when the phantom motion events occurred. Rather than purchasing a whole new fixture, I purchased this motion detector. It was a simple swap out, having the same wires as the old motion detector. What a difference. The new motion detector doesn't have any phantom motion events during the night, but it does turn on if I walk into the driveway. The field of vision is larger than the old motion detector at 180 degrees. The new detector was turning on when anyone exited our back door, so I took a piece of electrical tape to reduce the field of vision on the house side of the detector, so it would only detect motion in the driveway It works great now.

So far so good, but, one caveat: it does not work at all in daylight.
I have the unit installed, and so far it's working well: turning on when it sees movement, and shutting-off automatically after a few minutes. But: for a while I thought I had a defective unit, because, while I was installing it, it worked in Test mode, but not in its normal mode of operation. It just sat there totally dead. I was getting pretty frustrated. But then, at night, it started working! It was then that I discovered that, by design, it won't work at all until nightfall. The unit behaves in this way in ANY mode, not just its dawn-to-dusk mode. By the way, there's no way to adjust the light levels for what it considers to be "dark".I have my unit plugged into a circuit that is already controlled by sundown/sunrise (a nice Honeywell gadget), so I don't need this darkness detection feature, and it's a little annoying that I can't turn it off. The feature is not mentioned at all in the product description. The behavior is described in the manual, but only in one place right at the top, not near the sections that go into detail regarding operational settings.Anyway: the unit is working well for me now, now that I'm over the initial frustration of installation. It's a little annoying that I can't completely coordinate the sensor's dusk/dawn behavior with my other outside lights, but it's not a huge deal. And I'm sure many folks may value how it shuts itself off during the day. It would be good if the manufacturer actually put this feature in the product description.I'm sorry for the rating of 3, but I was dealing with this issue for a couple of hours on Sunday.
