am I supposed to believe in stated dimensions (5x5x5) ?

Exact size is L9cm, W6cm, D2cm. Pretty small in my opinion.

Can you use a iPhone 5s?

Yes, both my wife and I have one. Our kids have the 6&7 which they use. Also the iPads can be recharged.
