Aquapac Waterproof Map Holder While Outdoors or Hiking - Clear Plastic Case for Kayaking and a Waterproof Bag for Camping Accessories - Large 30x30cm

After a 3-day mountain hike in heavy rain I can say that this is a truly waterproof pouch albeit a little clumsy to open and close (but that's probably better from a waterproof perspective!) I had papers, maps, a mobile phone, a cable and a power bank in this pouch over a 10km walk in torrential rain on the last day of my hike - nothing got wet and my devices were in perfect condition. It can fold in half and sling around your neck. I tuck it into the straps of my exped cloudburst to keep it from moving around when I'm on the go. It allows me to refer to the maps inside whenever I want but still keeping the pouch from flying around my neck.

Size; holds a folded OS map, but protrudes and May stress the Velcro. Material; durable (so far). Transparency; good, as expected. The product is as you’d expect. It waterproofs maps and / or other paper-based items. There appears to be very limited condensation within the product itself when changing ambient temperatures. The item has Yet to be submerged but it has stood the rest of downpours and hail. I cannot yet comment on the durability of the lanyard holdings, but this tends to be where a lot of products fall short. This review will be updated should I experience any shortcomings with it.

Great for what you use it for out and about with your map really good ease of use hardly any weight to it personally I would say it's good value for money I've had it for a few years now and it's still going strong

Looks good quality, like the way it completely seals the map by rolling over the top before velcro-ing it down. Easy to fold and put in a pocket if using printed A4 maps. Not used it in rain yet but will edit this review if any issues.

Overall I'm pleased with the purchase, fits either a folded OS map or an open A5 guidebook perfectly and securely. All waterproof so not issues there. Only gripe is a question mark over durability, particularly the neck/carry strap as it feels extremely "not tough". Time will tell.

Love the fact that this is slightly larger than average map holders, so no shoe horning the map in, and therefore no tearing of the map or holder. Seems really robust material, good velcro seal, and clear so can easily read the map. Seems really waterproof so far, expect to be using this a lot in all conditions. Am very pleased. Also, very quick delivery. Result!

This is a poorly designed and manufactured item. The issue I found is that the top closure is done with velco. Unfortunately, the velco is not well secured to the smooth black plastic top. When I tried to open tbe velco, it simply pulled away from the black plastic. It needs to be stitched or welded in some way.

There I was, wading through chest deep water for hundreds of feet and all of a sudden I tripped and fell. I threw this map case trying to catch myself, and while trying to not drown I panicked about getting my papers wet. Alas, this perfect case protected my papers while being completely submerged. So while worrying about drowning, I didn’t have to worry about my papers getting destroyed. This thing is durable and effective.

Produit de très bonne manufacture. Système de fermeture par velcro super etanche et pratique. La place pour mettre la carte est très suffisante. Je recommande ce produit les yeux fermés.

Perfetto. Utilizzato in kayak con onde in coperta, la mappa è restata completamente asciutta. Dimensioni ok per tenerlo sotto la retina davanti al pozzetto.
