Excellent
After being bitten by ticks this summer and getting Lyme Disease 😮 🦠 even though I use other insect repellents, I bought every product on the market to find the best one for me. Personally I don’t want to smell too strongly of citronella when I’m out and I also want to avoid products containing deet. This Smidge is a wonderful product. It applies like a moisturiser, has a very faint smell and seems to be working well. I haven’t been bitten by anything since I bought this, even though I’m usually an eat all you can buffet for all insects. This is the only product I’ll ever use.

It’s the only thing that’s worked for me
Every summer in recent years I seemed to attract insect bites, mainly in my own garden, that can turn pretty nasty if I’m not prompt in treating them. I’ve tried all sorts of products but Smidge is the only one that’s come close to giving me protection. It’s easy to apply and doesn’t take your breath away like repellents containing DEET. I’ve used it for the last two years and things have been much better. The odd bite I have received has been down to my own negligence in forgetting to apply the spray I think. Give it a go if, like me, you seem to be targeted by midges etc.

Amazing product that really does work
I’ve always struggled with mosquito bites but this is the best thing I’ve ever tried. Smells good, easy to apply and really works. Some people mention an oily residue but that is not the case. Safe to use on me and my 6 year old. It is excellent product and completely worth the money. It will be taken with any future holidays.

Excellent
Smidge is pretty hard to beat as an insect repellent. It is very good at what it does. Their Midgies mapping online is also very useful and an important tool when planning walks. I have consistently used it in all my site visits over the years conducting ecology surveys.

No smell, very effective
By far the best combination of efficacy and pleasantness in use of any insect repellent I've ever tried. You don't feel like you are spraying toxic chemicals on your skin as you do with most other effective products. The only competitor is the blue Avon Skin So Soft but I felt Smidg provided more scientifically based protection. It is more of a thin cream that squirts out of the aerosol as opposed to a spray so I spray onto palms of my hands and then rub it in over the required areas of the skin, but this is easily done and it goes quite a long way. Really appreciate not stinking of chemicals after application and so far I've not been bitten all day after a single application in the morning. Expensive, but I can see why!

Didn't really work for me
Wore this religiously when on holiday in Mallorca. Got eaten alive by mozzies, ended up with over 20 painful bites, around half of which I had big allergic reactions to. Tried this because it seemed high quality but will be switching back to trusty Jungle Formula

Works for me
I live in SW SCOTLAND. Yup. I am VERY TASTY!! The dreaded midge invaded my bed and mauled me. I tried boil washing, steaming, poisonous sprays and DE and even got a net tent for my bed and got a carpet cleaner for the mattress. Found applying this after a shower with citrus bodywash really worked. A combo of nets and an oscillating fan and incense cleared them.
