Wacom K100879 Bamboo Fineline 3 Smart Stylus (3rd Generation), Active Touch Pen for Apple iOS Touchscreen Input Devices Such as iPhone or iPad, Black

Having tried an Adonit Pixel, which didn’t work at all with my iPad Air 2 I tried the Wacom. This worked straight out of the box and I was able to scroll through my iPad, open apps and the writing works really well in apps such as Notes, OneNote, Explain Everything and Adobe Sketch. I could pair it with apps via Bluetooth as well and pressure sensitivity worked with Adobe Sketch. It feels nice when writing on the screen and I can be quite precise with lettering.

The pen itself is very good with the palm rejection working very well on some however on the Wacom bamboo official app the calibration is of so almost impossible to draw/write with it.

Did not work for meAfter much research decided on the bamboo fineline 3 but sadly disappointed. After a discussion with online chat from Bamboo returned to Amazon. As you see from the photos attached the stylus was random in whether it would mark screen/paper. The two photos of bamboo paper using the stylus show line sometimes went thin and sometimes would not write at all. Asked for feedback when returned as from other reviews I feel the product must have been faulty. Tests were on iPhone 7 + and two different iPads both supposed to be compatible. Tried with stylus connected and disconnected, tried cleaning screen, turning the button off, various angles. Seemed to draw lines ok and responded to pressure. The main problems were with note taking. My Apple Pencil works flawlessly on both iPads, got this to use cross platform with iPhone and other units. If Wacom bamboo want to send me a replacement I will be happy to try it again and report on the findings. This has been frustrating as I hoped this would be the solution to the Apple no stylus required flawed thinking.

This works perfectly with Wacom tablet (as you would expect). Not so much with iPad mini, even when using Wacom apps. It has a nice solid feel, the battery holds the charge really well even when it is being used regularly. Another thing I liked about was that it is a bit shorter than the Apple pencil and feels really comfortable when sketching and writing.

Not bad as a stylus, works cross platform. However I tried using it with the new iPad and it is faulty. Not sure if Apple built in something so you have to sell your liver and buy the Apple Pencil but the fact is that it just does not work seamlessly with the iPad. I returned it unfortunately and you can guess what the next purchase was.

I bought this pen because of its palm rejection and then said precision feature. I use GoodNotes to take notes and expected, at least, a good experience (I wasn't expecting something like writing on paper or Apple Pen) but it turned out to be not so precise and eventually annoying. There are some issues that made me dislike this device:* Because of the split screen functionality on the iPad, this stylus automatically is disconnected from the app, so if you're right handed like me, and slightly drags your hand near the right border of the screen, the pen will disconnect, then you'll have to connect it again through its button. Ok, you can turn it off just like the gestures, but with the ordinary stylus it's not necessary at all, and even the gestures don't need to be turned off when using it.* I bought mainly because of its fine point, precision and palm rejection, that's why I thought the price worth it. The image below shows the difference between this pen and an ordinary rubber pen. (I do believe the second line is more readable than the first)* Poor performance on taking fast notes, once again, in order to achieve better precision, you'll have to find out many ways to have a good writing. As you can see on the top there are these "points" caused by the writing, but it seems its a problem of GoodNotes app, because it can't tell the difference between the touch of the stylus nib and my palm/fingers that sometimes make this things (the faster you write, the worse is the result).* There are lags and sometimes (at least once in every line written) you have to make the letter/symbol/sign again.Overall I didn't have a nice experience with it, I was expecting a little bit more for such price. A friend of mine tested on his iPad and found it amazing, although he just wrote some dummy things in order to get to know the device. Some things you may consider are the app using, in my case I use GoodNotes, and wasn't willing to test it on other note taking apps. It didn't work well with GoodNotes, in my case. In my case, my goal was to use it on my lectures and it doesn't fulfill my expectations.I can tell nothing about drawing with it.

This is a very useful Stylus, which I am using with my iPhone 7 Plus.Feeling very much like an ordinary pen, I have pressure sensitivity and accuracy... Just what I needed.

Excellent if you want to test the waters on some digital sketching (with procreate or something). The setting up was really easy, and the pen's accuracy is pretty good. I would definitely recommend it before you spend 2000 on an iPad Pro + apple pen for digital art.
