Auto focus could be better.
This was a gift to my husband. He uses this LUMIX for a lot of macro photography, related to his work. Getting focus on desired subject can be challenging. The instruction manual could be improved. By improved, I mean more complete. It’s like parts of it are to refresh one’s memory, not to actually teach usage. Also the automatic metering gives such priority to the outer/background of the frame that the background when dark leaves the foreground subject over-burned. Macro capabilities could be upgraded. My last model showed an anti-shake feature. Is this here somewhere?

This Is A Wonderful Camera... it is a little work horse.
I can’t say enough good things about the Panasonic ZS70S. I needed a camera to take with me on short day trips... sometimes I don’t want to haul the big Nikon around. This allows me to just quickly compose and snap.... if I feel creative I can use all the great settings that come with it. The stability is awesome. No camera shake even at 700 mm and beyond. It is a dream to handle. The view finder is an added plus in sunlight or to get super clarity on macro shots. I purchased it from Amazon with a leather custom fitted ever ready case in brown. It feels so light and at the ready for the quickest of shots. The batteries. I have 2 stay charged for many shots.... hundreds! Comes with a charger and batteries. Now, ..... it is not a top performer in low light. But, that is such a small concern you can increase the EV +|- and correct most shots ... I am happy with it as is. I love this camera!! The telephoto. Can reach from the upper deck of Giants Oracle stadium to the pitchers mound so easily and clearly... You will love this little power house.

No image on screen when taking a picture.
I’ve been using the Panasonic LUMIX cameras for at least 10 years in my line of work (home inspections). I take on average about 90 pictures a day. The camera is pulled from my pocket, picture taken and returned to my pocket. I’m pretty hard on the camera. I’ve owned at least 10 of these cameras over the years. They usually break when dust/dirt gets on to the telescoping part of the lens and it jams up. I just bought a new LUMIX DC-ZS70 a couple months ago that when taking a picture, there is no image on the screen unless you open the screen on the back of the camera. This is a new failure. I love the camera but this may be my last LUMIX.

There are some good improvements. I like the tilting of the screen
I upgraded from Panasonic DC-ZS50. There are some good improvements. I like the tilting of the screen, and it has touchscreen. These functions are more useful than I anticipated. The zoom range on this camera is very impressive. I mainly use it to observe wildlife, mostly birds. I don't take me binoculars anymore. Since this is a compact camera with an amazing zoom, its weak point is the size of its sensor. This becomes a problem with low light. So not a great camera for shooting after sunset. However I think it is the best compact-super zoom camera during the day in my opinion.

Prompt service! Exactly what I asked for!
This is my second Panasonic Lumix. This camera is easy to use, with all the updates I wanted. I especially wanted WIFI this time. I have taken some pictures, and they look great! I was able to figure out how to use the WIFI feature too. I'm a senior citizen who loves to travel to exotic places where I take lots of pictures inside and out. When I'm not supposed use a flash in a museum, it's easy to turn it off, and still get crisp pictures.Focus Camera delivered my camera promptly, and had the best deal which included an extra battery and wall charger. My package arrived on time, and intact. I would definitely order from Focus again, and you should too. Thanks Focus and Amazon!

Outstanding Digital camera. Perfect fit for anyone who wants SLR functionality, in a pocket sized camera.
Before buying the Panasonic ZS70, I did extensive research on the compact camera marketplace. I wanted the ease of a point & shoot for those moments of opportunity, but also desired the manual controls for more creative shots, and would not trade off the quality of pictures or size. After a week of heavy photography, I feel Panasonic hit a home run with this camera. If you only use the 2 automatic modes, it's worth the money. On top of that, there are the extensive manual modes and the ability to store in RAW format. The only issue, so far, is that there should be a user manual between the Basic and the Advanced, that focuses more on why and when you would use the multitude of features and settings which are provided.

Love it
I have had two earlier versions of this camera. I debated for months about getting this, then price dropped again and I purchased. I have a gopro and a great phone/camera so I wondered if I would really use this. I am thoroughly enjoying and happy I bought it. Best feature is the super optical zoom. For travel I feel I'm set with my three cameras as far as portability and versatility. Very happy with image quality and upgrades from previous versions.

Decent lower price multifunction camera
Small, nice zoom. It struggles with the color in either really bright or low light, but after experimenting, got the setting that did the trick for me. Lots of options, complex to remember them all, but that's a question of just using them a lot.
