STORMGUARD 05SR6843053W - Gum foam seal blade, White color, 19x11x3050 mm

Used as a seal for a car light cluster cables. Feels like proper quality stuff, has a nice almost-sticky surface on one side and adhesive on the other that didn't feel like it was gonna cause problems. Of course this isn't a long term review so take that into account.

This is a high quality make of weatherproof tape. You can easily squish it down with finger and thumb to compress but over a length as in a door or window, it is difficult it compress much so ensure you get an appropriate thickness that doesn’t need too much squishing! Tape adhesive get stronger if it’s left a while.

The foam is not so dense making it easy to compress when filling a gap of variable thickness. However the adhesion is very poor. I’m using it as a gasket between two surfaces that will be permanently closed so it is not much of an issue for me, but I’d not use it as a draft excluder on a door without additional glue to keep it in place.

Deep foam for bigger gaps. Used to seal the gap on a loose fitting door which lets draughts through. Applied to the door frame. Easy to apply and reposition. Sticks well. Good quality product, thick enough to bridge the gap and block the draught. Will use again if the need arises.

I used this to draughtprof around my loft hatch. It filled the 1/4” gap nicely, but I needed help in spotting the ‘leaky’ areas. (I had to be shut in the loft with a torch to highlight the gaps!)Beware! the strip is removable/adjustable soon after application, but tends to be deformed by the fingers. Also, after a few days, the foam will tear — if this is attempted — as the adhesive will have cured and the strip not be removable.

Ok but like all these seals it makes little difference to room temp. Pre use room temp was getting to 16/17c. After exactly the same with heating still on full blast. The only real solution is secondary not just double glazing but that's expensive.At least it was cheap and easy to remove and you don't get wind chill indoors. Which is nice.

Utilisé en complément du joint plastique pour une porte, fait le job correctement, s'écrase bien sans se décoller. Je recommande sans problème cette mousse caoutchouc.
