just a note book but I love it
this really is just a small green note book and not the cheapest option but this works amazingly well for me. the waterproof paper is a godsend in bad weather and the slightly thicker paper means that the pages dont fall our ! great buy.

Does it's job! NOT to be used with fountain pens though
Well, I have to say I'm actually rather impressed with this.I wanted to start EDC'ing a notebook with me, to go with my keychain pen on my Victorinox Manager, and this was obviously a compact (A6?) solution that not only works for my usecase, but is totally waterproof.Tried and tested, it is definitely waterproof and has no problems keeping the text on it from fading when exposed to water or various other test liquids. You can def. trust it. It even has a front page with some conversion charts & a ruler! Handy :)Will NOT work with gel pens or fountain pens (or highlighters, for that matter); this is due to the consistency of the water-based inks found within them, and is mentioned on the first page of the notebook. Works splendidly with a selection of biros, rollerballs, pencils, and other inks, however!

Good little notepad, although not thoroughly tested.
I haven't tried it in the rain yet but it does what I need it for. I might perhaps try a larger size once this has been used, but overall happy with purchase.

Very good notebook for rainy days
I used this notebook for school, and i tested it in science lesson by putting it under the tap. I waited for it to dry, and as a normal paper would go soggy and you can’t write on it, this is total opposite. Works like normal paper even when drenched!Would recommend

Does quite a lot more than it says on the tin!
Tested in the field and more harshly at home - and it outperforms its name! The first day I had this, it came in handy to jot down a phone number whilst out walking in the rain.No fussing about trying to shelter the paper, like with a normal pad; just open it up, write, close and back in the pocket.Job done :-)I wanted to push the limits and see just how much abuse a sheet could practically take, and the results were very impressive.I tested writing with:* An HB (softer) pencil* A 5H (harder) pencil* A generic ballpoint pen* A generic permanent marker* A generic wax crayonand* A Fisher "Bullet" Space PenMarks made on the paper before wetting, with all the above, remained intact after complete submersion in water for 15 minutes (the length of time my testing took, not an upper limit).I could write successfully with both pencils, and the Space Pen whilst the paper was completely submerged and significantly softened by the water.I half expected the hard pencil to tear the sheet, but there was absolutely no problem at all; it was just like writing on good quality dry paper. After being wetted, the paper does soften a little, but will dry out just fine, and although it gets a little crinkled, is practically none the worse for wear. One benefit of pencil, is the ability to erase the marks, and I decided to test if pencil could be erased from wet Rite in the Rain paper. It was no surprise that the paper was badly damaged by the attempt, but astonishingly, although the surface layer was rubbed away with the pencil marks, the eraser didn't go through or tear the sheet! The resulting damaged area was slightly more translucent and rougher, but remained intact, so after being dried, could have been reused. This proved to me just how durable this paper really is.Normal wet paper will disintegrate if you look at it too hard, but this actually stood up to be written on with a hard pencil whilst fully submerged in water for at least 10 minutes, then being rubbed with an eraser enough to remove the upper surface and pencil marks - and was still a useable sheet of paper!!Awesome stuff. Really great solution to a frustrating problem. As a bonus, the inside of the tough plastic cover is printed with useful unit conversion metrics, measuring rules and map scale guides. The pad size is perfect for a breast pocket, and the ring binder is of a heavy enough gauge to remain cylindrical under duress (some lesser quality pads don't tear off well).Totally satisfied. Great product.

Take Note
I love the feel, design, and ability to write when it's raining.Combine this with the Tombow pen and you're all set to go on walks with your family and take notes of the sights you see.Keep in the car and copy down details at the accident scene.Use for your shopping listWrite down your thoughts whilst having a Costa every week instead of saving up for a house. The choice is endless I suppose.Yes, I would without hesitation recommend this notebook.

Utterly waterproof, utterly brilliant.
This is genuinely waterproof! Water does not soak into the page at all, but runs of the page, instantly leaving a dry surface. The pages don’t have a plastic feel to them, they feel like actual paper, maybe a touch waxy but only ever so slightly. Bought at the request of my son who is on army basic training, and he thinks it’s fab. My other son is a rugby coach and rugby ref who says they are brilliant for taking notes or keeping score in wind rain and snow. Easy to write on in all conditions with pencil, marker pen or ball point pen. But be sure to use a decent one that can cope with the texture of the paper. I can recommend the Uniball Power Tank as these are the ones I bought, they write at almost any angle and are also waterproof. The conversion charts and scales on the cover are a nice touch. These notebooks are brilliant for any outdoor activity and do exactly what they claim to. I will be buying these again and am happy to recommend them.

paper has got thinner!
I'm a big fan of these Rite in the Rain note pad, I have carried one in my back pocket for the last year or so and they are great for to-do list and the likes. The last ones I received, however, were disappointing. The paper is too thin and few pages have already come off, something that would have never happened in the ones I received before.
