Excellent build quality, were my first thought upon opening the package with this one and secondly it comes with a sticker to tag up my computer with. So I am sold on the sticker alone haha. Nope it seems to do what it says on the tin. Works straight out of the box no phantom power needed. Very little feedback. I only began to notice some when running it through 4 tracks and a vocoder. I have not really barked at it yet, but the bass response is quite phenomenal actually when you get in close. So far I am happy with this purchase, If it still alive and kicking in a few years I will be supremely happy with it. Having previously bought a condenser mic and had it break on me. This feels solid if a little quite however it cuts out unwanted background noise from my computer, which is another reason I bought it. So far it does exactly what it says on the tin. If you have been looking elsewhere at stuff slightly cheaper,. I would stop here. I am hoping this will be worth every penny of that 100 quid in the long run with hassle free plug and play, it is a winner. I have a mic I am pretty sure I can take anywhere and it will be useful without having to worry.

I've had a Shure SM58 for years and it is still going strong, a few years ago I needed to add another mic to my kit and bought a much cheaper one which we muddled through with but you can't beat quality and I purchased another of these making making me much happier again

It took me 4 or 5 weeks before I got the chance to use this microphone. Being a bit hesitant after getting stung previously with buying mic's like this on a well known auction site, and getting shoddy fake items ( and no chance of return or refund ) I lost a lot of money. Thankfully this seemed to be a genuine item and feels and sounds like Quality with a capital Q.

I have been longing to purchase my own Shure SM58 for a very long time. I have resesrched various performance level microphones and this one has always stood out from the rest. Great sound quality, sturdy and absolutely excellent value for money

This, of course, is an excellent product. It has become very much the industry standard for vocals (singing), but is also good for speech. This model with switch is particularly good for speech announcements where it is necessary to switch it off or mute it for much of the time.

No surprise, this is an excellent mic, and you can't really beat these for value. Am using a foam mic windshield with it, and the quality is excellent.

Je l'utilise pour enregistrer des traductions ou voix off : la qualité du son est incroyable, on n'entend pas du tout le souffle de l'ordinateur, et assez peu les sons environnantes. Pour le prix on a presque une qualité studio. Le seul bémol est que le moindre changement de distance par rapport au micro change le son (+ de graves quand on est proche), ce qui peut être gênant quand on veut mettre plusieurs enregistrements à la suite (mais bon je pense que c'est le propre des micros cardioïdes).

MUST READ!!!! At first I thought the mic wasn't working..Would like to bring it to everyone's knowledge that there are 2 reasons for your mic to not work when directly plugged in..One is either the microphone cable isn't the compatible one. If you check the wiring manual on the 58 or 57, the pins 2 and 3 are in use while the pin 1 is isolated..making most common cables useless incase those cable were for condenser microphones..whatever the reason..do look out for your pin configuartion on your cable before getting upset as to why isn't your mic working.. Secondly..use a multimeter and carry out a simple continuity check to check the output of the cable's pins.. that way you'd be able to know which pin connects to which side on the other end of the cable.. And the most important reason why your mic probably isn't working is because of IMPEDANCE MISMATCH..now that is common on a low impedance microphone like the SM57 n 58 n many other dynamic mics..to come straight to the point after a little research I happened to realize all of this and finally decided I'd need a impedance transformer to gear up to my mics rear end of the cable which connects to the high impedance pre amp that i have..(Most of us have high impedance amps..probably a guitar amp too has a high impedance as its input) ALSO if your amp is a low impedance one don't be surprised if it works with a low volume on your guitar amp with no much signal strenth and quality .. This is probably because of impedance mismatch..and Shure and many companies like Audix have awesome impedance transformers to purchase from. The mic with the tranformer on sounds a 1000 times better than it would have otherwise..if you possess a sound card..you dont need to bother about purchasing a impedance transformer since the interface will do it for you..HOPE THIS HELPS..Big thnx to Amazon.. Great quality bot build and in use. One thing I didn't really see here, for fun I tried it on my iPad Pro with a USBC to USB converter and worked really well. It did however try to use the headphones for output so you need to unplug to hear music on the built in speakers. The more you know.
