Masterproofing Rectangle Banneton Basket(1000g dough)-- 12-inch by 5-inch

So far, so good! I bought two of these and have used them twice now. They are the perfect size for 1000g loaves, and the resulting shape is pleasing. Beware that they must be seasoned by use. I have been making bread that is at 50-60% hydration, and although the dough sticks slightly when being removed I have not had any rips or tears yet. I won't try a higher hydration recipe until I experience less sticking.As far as quality goes, I have never owned a rattan banneton before, so I don't have anything to compare these to. They seem sturdy enough, but quite lightweight. A little rough too, but this has not effected the resulting bread. Definitely a bargain when on sale for £7 each!

First experience of using a banneton for soughdough bread and am impressed with ease of use. It came with a cloth liner which, whilst takes away the pattern on the crust, makes cleaning and ease of removing the loaf much easier.

Not as well finished as bannetons I've previously bought, this one being somewhat splintery. That said, it is great for larger bakes and here's the second of my sourdough bakes in this banneton. OK perhaps 3 stars was a bit harsh so with multiple bakes this is looking fine and I've just ordered another one - with my denser crumb I get 1.5kg sourdough into one of these. Update Sept 2022: I've got two of these now and are my go to bannetons for large SD loaves (1.4-1.5kg dough is about as far as I can go). Both bannetons in good order with no sign of quality control issues.

This banneton basket is not extremely high quality. The basket I received was quite splintery in some spots with the wood sticking out. This product is adequate at best.

I loved this bread proving basket. It makes great size loaves. I use it demonstrating sourdough bread for my students. They all want them now as they will last for ever.

Works perfectly, good quality and has helped me to produce some lovely shaped sourdoughs. I have needed to "paint" with a cornflour mix to prevent sticking and do need to flour heavily, but with experience of using this I would definitely purchase different sizes/shapes for different loafs.

Bought this basket ages ago for hubby, and he still is using it.Great product, no sign of wear and tear even though in regular use.Would recommend.

Received this today & decided to try it out immediately. The dough rose so much better in this than it has in the plastic/metal bowls I've been using so far. The air in the dough was distributed much more evenly, which made the consistency of the baked bread a lot more even. Absolutely worth the money!

Well made -- you do have to be careful not to soak it in water, because its made of peeled rattan, but that's standard for any banneton.It's wonderful to have one so I can get a better shape for my quarantine sourdough loaves!

Parfait pour un pain au levain de 1,5 kg. Avec un fleurage préalable, il se démoule parfaitement et se lave facilement. Plus pratique que les bannettes rondes pour un four de ménage, on peut mettre deux pains en parallèle.

che dire, perfetto, nessun odore e il pane si stacca alla perfezione, per pulirlo basta usare una spazzolina (tipo quella per le unghie) per eliminare la farina rimasta nelle righe. Il pane esce uno spettacolo!
