Is it safe to use these bulbs in a ceiling light designed for 100w halogen bulbs?

I don't see why not but these bulbs are only equivalent to about 40w so they will not be as bright. They are a good replacement for 50w bulbs though their light spread is like spot beam bulbs. I have had to add diffusers to the front of most of mine, borrowed from previous broken bulbs (not Philips ones!) to achieve a good light spread.

What's the beam angle on these bulbs?

Hi the Angle is 36%Just to let you know these were a replacement for a set of older Philips led bulbs we had in the kitchen and I can say without question superb light from these later ones
