Microsoft Surface Bluetooth Mouse - Grey

I bought this to replace the Arc Touch Mouse, which I found to be aesthetically great but lacking in functionality. This Surface Mouse fits the bill much better. It's surprisingly big, a full-size mouse, and the plastic construction has a pleasant grain to it. It's also quite heavy, which I enjoy. The click is rich and satisfying, and the tracking and bluetooth functionality seems to be working very well so far. The scroll wheel is a little firmer than I'm used to, but after just a little time adjusting I'm really enjoying it. The colour and general design identity is very close to that of grey Surface line products, and the grain on the plastic is identical. So visually I'm very much enjoying it as a matched pair with my grey Surface Laptop. Several reviewers here have commented that the functionality isn't reliable or breaks down - so far so good for me but will report back if I start experiencing issues!

Elegantly styled with no reduction in comfort as a result this mouse is a real quality item. The accuracy is exceptional for both movement and via the scroll wheel. The only criticism I'd have is that the scroll wheel only does up and down, my old mouse did horizontal scrolling and I do miss that a bit on larger documents. The battery compartment is very neat - I'll not spoil the surprise before you get one!

I bought this to go with my Surface Pro. It's nicely designed; I particularly like the magnetic battery cover. The Bluetooth button doubling up as a power switch was not immediately obvious though. The feel of the device is a little cheaper than I expected. It also drags a little more than I would like in most surfaces. Overall, pretty good, but room for improvement.

Bluetooth - unfortunately so often an unreliable medium. Hence the 3*. Another reason the crazy power source of multiple button-batteries. Why not a simple AA or AAA battery? I found the device to be unreliable and expensive. I now use a wireless mouse & keyboard combo connected via a tiny wireless USB-A dongle. They are brilliant!

It's an original MS mouse. Contains one Duracell battery, which was about 90% three months ago after arriving, and is still going strong. It isn't super quiet but doesn't bother anyone around me, and the click is comfortable, same with the scroll. It works even on transparent glass. Doesn't have any connection issues. A good value for money, especially with how expensive these can get.

This mouse feels really solid and comfortable in your hand and it glides of the desk top really smoothly. The Bluetooth connection is slick and connected very quickly to my Surface Pro 4. Great compliment to go with the Surface, and Surface keyboard.

Nice until the wheel mechanism breaks and I promise you it will break!! There is a design fault which means that the wheel will stop working to scroll a window although it will continue to operate as a 3rd button (you will see some other reviewers have experienced this and most will over time). The reason is that the plastic axle that supports the wheel is very thin and rests on a mechanism on the right-hand side that detects the turning of the wheel (the left side sits on a button which is pushed down and activated when you press the wheel to use it as a 3rd mouse button). Since the right-side rests on this mechanism for detecting the wheel turns, the thin plastic axle is prone to breaking after the passage of time due to continued pressing of the wheel as you use it as a button. And because this axle is so thin, you can't even fix it with a strong glue (I've tried). You may try to fix it but as soon as you apply any pressure it's broken again even before you've finished reassembling the mouse. Sorry Microsoft, use better quality materials for the axle on the wheel. It's so small they could easily have made it from a metal with minimal cost impact on the product (there is more metal in the screws that hold it together). But they choose plastic for a small part that's taking pressure from continued use. What a bad design decision!! Which bright spark thought this was a good idea?? I've owned two of these mice and in less than a year both are broken with the same issue!! Also, when you open it up and look inside, you'll see that it's a relatively simple plastic design and completely overpriced for what it is. They seem to be charging you extra because of the "Surface" brand rather than higher quality. Shame because I have the surface keyboard and a surface book and it would be nice if all work together without such issues. Spend your money on something more robust and with better build quality!!

Excellent design - Microsoft please keep UP the good work. The wheel is very intuitive - class on its own. I have no complains at all as its so responsive, light and feels just right in my hand.

La souris Surface est confortable à utiliser et la qualité de fabrication est très bonne. En revanche, il est dommage qu’elle ne puisse pas être connectée à plusieurs appareils.

Se me rompió la ruedita mientras hacía scroll sin mucho sentido aparente, es imposible abrirlo para ver si es porque se haya movido o para intentar arreglarlo. Una pena que sea tan frágil por el precio que tiene.

Um endlich dem Kabelsalat auf meinem Schreibtisch los zu werden habe ich mich entschieden, mich von meiner alten USB-Tastatur und -Maus zu trennen und stattdessen auf Bluetooth-Geräte umzustellen. So bin ich neben der Microsoft-Surface-Tastatur bei jener Maus hier gelandet. Das Design hat mich angesprochen daher, einmal in den Warenkorb und gekauft. Nach üblicher schneller Lieferung direkt zuhause ausprobiert. Die Maus ist für ihre Größe recht "schwer", modernes Design, schön verarbeitet. Die Batterieklappe wird magnetisch geschlossen gehalten und ist einfach zu öffnen, die Tasten sind in den Körper integirtiert und das Mausrad nicht zu leichtgängig sondern bietet einen schönen Widerstand Die Koppelung mit dem PC funktioniert innerhalb weniger Sekunden, danach tut die Maus genau das was sie soll mit den üblichen Funktionen. Sie reagiert schnell und flüssig,verbindet sich beim PC-Start zügig, mehr denke ich ist dazu nicht zu sagen. Also nach erfolgtem Praxistest eine zweite bestellt die ich zusammen mit meinem Surface auf der Arbeit nutze. Ergänzend gibt es hier nicht viel zu sagen, nur habe ich hier wohl ein Montagsprodukt erwischt, denn diese hier braucht beim Verbinden nach dem PC-Start deutlich mehr Zeit. Ist schade, aber letzten Endes kein Weltuntergang. Aus der überaus positiven Erfahrung mit der ersten Maus resultieren 5/5 Sternen in der Bewertung.

perfetto, materiali ottimi, non e' piccolo. ottimo compagno per il mio MS Surface. Non e' molto piccolo, quindi adatto per usare il Surface sulla scrivania, meno adatto da portarsi dietro, ma in tal caso io uso il touchpad e lascio il mouse a casa.
