Very effective, reliable and easy/quick to set up.
These are fab. Honestly. Have a typical 'Wimpey' type house. Have 1 sensor in the garden on the screw on the fence covering the patio and back doors and 1 in the shed covering the kids bikes. Sensors take 3xAAA. Theyre outdoor safe and have been rained on and havent failed as they're 'all weather'. Ive got duracell plus in them and they are still working after 4 weeks. If anyone approaches the house by jumping over the back gate or opens the shed door the PIRs trigger and the base alerts (can be very loud or 'low' which is loud enough). The base takes 3x C. I just switch the base off of a day so expect them to last for ages. I keep it on the landing window ledge. I'll be honest enough to say that I didnt expect too much for £22 but ive been really impressed. I thought theyd 'eat' bayteries but havent so far. Even if I have to change the batteries every month or 2 I can live with that for the security of being alerted to anyone prowling around at night. Theres an 'alarm' mode that just keeps ringung until you acknowledge it. When the weather warms a bit I intend to have the landing window open slightly so if anyone does try to come trespassing they hear the quite loud alarm out of the window and scarper. For £22 and no hassle of getting an alarm engineer in who might need to drill etc theyre a godsend. I live in an inner city and as people get desparate through the effects of job loss I wouldnt be surprised if crime went up. Im hoping these help a bit with that.

A great product that exceeds expectations.
This alarm has far exceeded my expectations regarding the range over which it operates. I have mounted one of the sensors on the wall of the house underneath a bay window, just inside the front gate. Primary purpose was to give an early alert of anyone coming through the gate while we are upstairs. It's a long house and delivery men have often gone away by the time we descend the stairs to respond to the doorbell. The alarm has worked perfectly in this respect, zero false triggering and the receiver beeps can be heard clearly even when the receiver is left downstairs in the hall. As an experiment I took the receiver up inside the aluminium greenhouse, about 90ft away from the sensor and on the other side of a brick built garage. To my astonishment it worked!! What a bonus as we can now respond to anyone coming through the gate even before they ring the doorbell, even when we are working in the greenhouse.I've now mounted the second receiver inside the garage pointing at the electric door closing mechanism. We use it to confirm that the door has closed when we use it's remote switch, three beeps from the alarm receiver and all is well. We switch the receiver to "alarm" mode at night so that it will warn of any intruders. The units are sturdy and not ugly to look at. The receiver is portable so we can move it around with us so that we can hear it clearly.A great product, thoroughly recommended.I bought this unit by the way, no freebie from the seller unlike the ever growing number of people receiving free samples in exchange for good reviews...

Generally good but false alarms on sunny and windy days
I've been using this for a few weeks now. We really need something like this, as we often don't see people coming to our back door and often don't hear them knocking on the door. This has generally been working well, used in conjunction with a WiFi camera which sits in the window by the back door, although we've found that a combination of bright sunshine and wind has caused a LOT of false alarms. I have fitted the sensors facing north, as other users had mentioned a susceptibility to false alarms due to sunshine striking the unit. I think it's branches on a fig tree across the courtyard which are currently lit by the sun, moving in the strong wind that we have at the moment. I removed one of the sensors from a tree on the drive, a while ago, for the same reason. On a more positive note, we have a 200m long drive and one of the sensors worked reliably from near the far end of the drive. The signal doesn't penetrate wood too well though, although successfully penetrates 2-3 walls from the sensor on the outside wall of our house, to the alarm unit which we keep in the understairs cupboard. We keep it there because the loud alarm setting is very loud, but in our house, the quiet setting wasn't sufficiently audible in all the relevant rooms. The quiet setting would be fine in a smaller house methinks.

A must have item, brilliant.
Fantastic piece of kit this, easy set up, value for money, quality item, works a treat. Awesome range on reciever, if your like me in the garden for hours, insert into small lunch box, keep hard weather off and save battery life, takes 2 seconds to clip on and off, just don't forget to unclip when you want them alarmed as they don't go through plastic or glass the sensors. Sensor spotlight not included, stop thieves before they break in, I have 2 sets working all together, 1 reciever in house, and 1 in shed with loud alarm time, every home should have 1, or 2.

Warning System not expandable.
WARNING The system works fine and as described. I was attracted to this product, by the fact that it could be expanded by the addition of extra sensors, at the time of purchase I only needed 2 but now I need 4 so I have been trying to buy 2 extra sensors I am now very very disappointed with my purchase as the company no longer sells the sensors seperately, so be Warned expanding the system is not possible so make sure you order enough sensors plus a couple more otherwise you will have top buy a complete new system.

Sehr gute Alarmanlage

Good value system that works
This system works for me. As reported by others, it has the potential to false under certain conditions, but I think this is hardly restricted to this system. The two I've found are direct/strong reflected sunlight and heavy snow. I don't expect snow would be an issue except the sensor is pointed at the adjacent house, which is obviously warmer than the snow, and the snow is passing between the warm wall and the sensor, so it looks like movement. I solved these issues by putting the receivers on inexpensive AC timers that only turn them on at night, which is when I need the monitoring to occur. There have been rare false alarms but that could be animals, we have rabbits and other urban wildlife around here. Sensor current draw is 30 uA, plus 16 mA for 2.5 seconds on every detect event, so at 15-20 detects/day on alkaline AAA batteries, plus some derating for age and cold weather, it works out to be about 8-10 months - longer with lithium AAAs, if you can stand the cost. I bought an additional receiver so I can have one downstairs and one upstairs, plus 2 sensors so I can have bigger coverage, and they all work fine together. I put my sensors in Dollarama birdhouses, as others have suggested, to keep them clean, somewhat hidden and narrow their field of view a bit, but they would be fine exposed if that's what you want/need. I have no doubt these might be good vehicle detectors, which may be a pro or a con. Overall I would say this system works, is equal to or better than most, and is a far better value than the majority out there. If I could I'd give it 4-1/2 stars - if there were some way to improve false alarm prevention due to sun/snow I'd say it would be 5 stars. I would also like to have a way to adapt the sensors to bigger / external batteries, but I know why they didn't do that, and that's probably just me, so I'm not deducting anything for that little frill. Overall very happy with the price and value.
