Perfect for starting out
I recently got back into scale miniatures. I build 1:35 scale tanks and have just taken the delve into Warhammer. Shifting over from tanks, I didn’t have many bright colours. This box has stocked me up nicely on some key colours. The paints are of a good quality and I’m a big fan of the dropper style bottle. I’ve airbrushed and hand painted with a number of them and find they mix well. If I was to be picky I would say one or two of the colours don’t have as good a coverage as the citadel range but for the price, excellent and two thin coats works great for most. The only thing I wasn’t to fond of was the gun metal metallic paint. The reflective particles were a little bit two large for adding a dry brush silver effect. Otherwise not a bad colour. Great gift, good for a budget stock up of paints.

Great set for the price but not perfect
Here's the main points quickly: Great set for the price (I paid £29.95); Wide range of colours that give a good range depending on how you mix however; Yes you need to buy another black as it finishes glossy; Yes you need to buy more blues (impossible to mix with what you have since you need different blue pigments) Long story short, it's a good set and worth getting (assuming it's still under £30) as it'll be hard finding a similar set at the same price. I'm new to painting miniatures, and these have proven very helpful in learning all the ins and outs. So far the paints haven't limited my learning and I'm growing with them. Well worth it in my opinion.

Good Starter set
This is a great set to get you started with painting. The range of colours in this set is a great value for money as it comes with some metallics and all the base colours you would need. Coverage is good and only takes a couple coats to get a good coat.

Good set
I was really impressed with this paint. I am not an expert but found the paint to flow and cover well. There are a good bunch of colours and has most of the important shades.

Absolutely love Vallejo
The Vallejo Game Color Acrylic Paint Set is widely considered a gold standard for miniature painters and hobbyists due to its exceptional pigment quality and user-friendly design. This specific collection of 16 colors offers a versatile palette that covers the essential spectrum of matte primaries and high-luster metallics, making it a perfect all-in-one starter kit or a reliable expansion for a growing collection. The 18 ml dropper bottles are a standout feature, allowing for precise, drop-by-drop measurement that reduces waste and keeps the paint fresh by preventing the air exposure common with traditional pots. The paint itself has a smooth, creamy consistency that thins beautifully with water or medium, ensuring that even multiple layers won't clog the intricate details of a plastic or resin model. One of the most impressive aspects of the Game Color range is its durability once dry; the resin used in the formula is specifically designed to withstand the frequent handling that gaming miniatures endure. The matte colors provide a flat, professional finish that is easy to highlight over, while the metallics feature a fine grain that provides a realistic sheen without looking sparkly. While most of the colors offer fantastic one-coat coverage, a few of the brighter shades, such as the yellows and oranges, may require a bit of patience and a couple of thin layers to achieve perfect opacity over dark primers. Additionally, because the paint is highly pigmented, it is always a good idea to give the bottles a very thorough shake before use to ensure the medium and pigment are perfectly blended. Overall, this set provides a professional-grade finish that is accessible to beginners while remaining a staple for veteran painters who demand consistency and vibrancy.

A great start, or a wonderful addition.
First things first, due to an issue with our local post service my first order disappeared. Seller handled it cleanly, and replacements arrived very promptly, I'm really satisfied. The paints themselves are great. Strong coverage and the eyedropper is SO USEFUL. There's such a versatile range of paints that you can mix pretty much anything you don't have. I'd note as a point of interest that I find they require less watering down than Citadel paints, but they're very satisfying to use and dry down with little loss to detail, I'm very impressed. The range of colours are either a fantastic platform to get started, or a fantastic addition to fill in every conceivable gap in your collection. With the sole exception of brass/copper metallic colours, you've got pretty much everything you need for most WH40k colour schemes.
