Really easy to use a must have for the price
I am very new to astronomy and hadn't heard of a Barlow Lens before but as a complete beginner, I think this is a must have. It's very cheap to buy and doubles the magnification of each eye piece which has so far provided some fantastic views of the moon and a couple of other bits. Prior to buying this, I spent a lot of time on the various forums doing research but the impression I get is that astronomy is one of those areas where everybody has an opinion on the various bits available and the people with more expertise can be quite critical to certain products that are in practice, absolutely fine for the beginner/novice. I think this product is a great price point, very good quality and unless you are significantly more experienced, is likely to do the job perfectly for you.

very practical and solid but with some threading debris
This adapter fits well with the Opteka T2 ring, and obviously will with others, but that is because I ordered both together. Material is fine, but there exist some debris from the threading process that makes me blow air at the threads each time I attach it to the camera. Of course I will be afraid if these debris fall into the Camera's sensor. The nice thing is the solid material where the adapter is being fixed it will not leave any marking. Notice. For f/5 refractor users, and depending on the focuser type, you may need extension tubes if the focuser do not provide up to 50mm back focus.

Does what it’s supposed to!
Used with Celestron 150mm telescope, Fuji xt3 camera & T adapter. Magnifies about same as my 10mm lens as expected. No issues

Good piece of kit
I bought this to enable me to take photos through my telescope with my DSLR. I had already ordered and received a T2/Nikon adapter which I needed and a T2/1 1/4" adapter which it turns out I didn't! Oh well, we live and learn. The bit I didn't need did allow me to take a few test shots and as the skies were overcast, I resorted to taking some daylight shots of anything I could (mainly a bird table in a garden four or five houses along our row). These were fine but when a clear night did present itself, it wouldn't allow me to focus on anything as far as the moon or Jupiter. When this T adapter with barlow lens came, I immediately realised that it was the T adapter as well as the adapter to allow infinity focussing. I have only had one clearish night so far and it was still hazy so I have an acceptable moon photo but other things such as Jupiter and various nebulae were impossible to focus on (the haze though, not the Celestron), though I was still able to see cloud banding on Jupiter and its moons. Here's looking forward to the British weather playing ball.

Okay… yes and no🤨
Okay, just for those who want to know IT is a 2x Barlow BUT It is also a t adapter, meaning an additional lens is hiding in it, so it dims the object and reduces the quality of the object you’re looking at, so just use a 10mm eyepiece now ( 10mm comes with most good telescopes from celestron )

Celestron Barlow T-Adapter - 1.25"
I wanted this item so that I could use a DSLR camera with my Celestron telescope. I have only tried it once, however it seems to work very well.
