I bought this Masterplug four socket extension lead for a small box bedroom where the only mains socket is on one side of the room. The 5 metre cable gives much more flexibility, making it easier to plug in devices in other parts of the room without needing everything crowded around the wall socket. Masterplug is also a familiar household name, which was one of the reasons I chose it. With something electrical, I would rather buy from a brand I recognise and trust than a completely unknown one, especially for everyday use around the home. This is a basic extension lead, but that is exactly what I wanted. It has four sockets, a plain white design, and enough cable length to be genuinely useful. It is handy for lamps, chargers, small appliances, or anywhere else where the wall socket is not quite where you need it to be. It is worth noting that this is an unswitched extension lead, so there are no individual on/off switches for each socket. It also does not appear to have a power light indicator when plugged into the mains. That is not a problem for me, but it does mean there is no quick visual confirmation that power is reaching the lead until the connected device is working. This is also a standard extension lead rather than a surge-protected one. For normal household items, that is fine for my needs. All good so far. It is a straightforward, practical extension lead from a recognised brand, and the 5 metre cable makes it especially useful in a room where the mains socket is not in the most convenient place. As long as you are aware that it is unswitched, has no power indicator, and is not surge protected, I think it is a good practical buy, and I would recommend it, so five stars from me. It’s an extension lead, so there’s not a huge amount to say, but it does exactly what it’s supposed to. The build quality feels solid, the sockets have a reassuringly firm fit, and it inspires more confidence than some of the cheaper alternatives I’ve used. I’ve been using it to power my desktop setup, and it’s worked flawlessly. The cable is flexible without feeling flimsy, and the overall construction feels well made. It’s not the most exciting purchase you’ll ever make, but if you’re looking for a reliable extension lead, this is an easy recommendation. Sometimes boring and dependable is exactly what you want.

Cheap extension cable for what your getting and very nice build and easy to use, however it can be stiff sometimes for your socket to fit into but generally well built and would recommend. The extraction is long and durable cables and the versatility is overall ok and well which good for plus sockets which are great and long.

I have found this power strip to be quite good quality with a quality cable which seems tough. Does the job as intended and quite practical.
