Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound Paste 3.5g AS5 Artic With Opening Pry Tools [Value Pack]

I am ecstatically happy with this little tube of paste. I have a 17" Sony Vaio laptop which is six years old and recently it began to over heat to the point where I though it might burst into flames. Yes it was that hot! I love my Vaio and didn't want to replace it so I searched the Internet for a possible fix. I found out that computers have a thermal paste which dries out over time. The paste helps to keep computers cool. I didn't know this! I am not a technical person, in fact, when dealing with computers such as downloading programs or software I need everything explained in very simple terms, but I was determined to make my Vaio live. I watched a video on this subject, then I ordered this tube, Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound Paste 3.5g, along with alcohol wipes and a Precision Screwdriver Set all from Amazon, and took my laptop apart. I found the paste in my computer and it had dried, almost away, with just a speck of clay like substance. I cleaned it, applied Artic Silver Paste and put my Vaio back together again. I was hopeful, but honestly I didn't think this would work, because not only was my laptop overheating it was also freezing. I really thought I'd have to buy a new computer. I switched my laptop on, it was a bit slow at first, then it felt a bit warm, my heart sank. I kept it on for a few hours and it felt a bit hot but not as hot as it was before I applied the paste. It was the next day I knew that the paste had worked. My laptop came on much faster and it wasn't hot, hip, hip. Four days on and I now have a computer which does not get hot, it is actually very cool, it does not freeze and it comes on much faster. My Vaio lives!

As a long term pc builder and modder, I have always used and will continue to use Artic Silver. It has nver let me down and i have overclocked my systems at times to the max just to see what it would take to push them over and give me a safe zone to check performance etc.This was my first go at using it in the ps4 system but it has worked as it always, (Perfectly)

There's more silver in here to kill a werewolf, not that you will be encountering any inside you CPU, but I've seen a few hairballs in there on my time as a engineer. Excellent product anyone reseating their cpu or after a good clean-up inside than I would recommend a pea size (central) on the cpu and watch those temps fall great product !

Im no expert but Ive used Arctic Silver 5 on several cpu paste replacements for neighbours and IMO is more forgiving when applying and helps the electronics to run cooler which means far better longevity. Anyone over the age of 14 will struggle to put a processor through its paces and Arctic 5 rises to that challenge.

This fixed an issue with a PS4 within 5 minutes. Came with all the handy tools which made the job even easier. Followed a YouTube video and the PlayStation runs silently now. Brilliant little product

Bought this to reduce temps on my AMD system. Very pleased to say that my temps have come down and I'm extremely happy. I used a cheaper thermal paste before and it wasn't very effective. I would definitely recommend this thermal paste.

Used on my ps3 after reflowing the solder on the pcb. Good product, but only just enough to do the two processor chips.Would use again if I needed to.

Used to replace existing heat sink pads on 3 chips in my laptop which had worn. Dropped the avg temp by about 10 degrees. Great product.
