Excellent replacement fountain
I had a great chocolate fountain and after 20 years of use, it finally gave up. I scoured the market place for a new one and was horrified to find so many poor quality and small plastic machines or extremely expensice catering ones with nothing inbetween. Then, I finally found Andrew James extra large fountain which is almost identical to my previous fabulous machine.... catering quality, same dual controls to chose heat or not to heat on one, cascade or stop on the other control. It was an acceptable price for my needs occassional party use and it is everything I wanted. It included 8 descent quality fondue forks. It was on for 6 hours during our party and catered for 35 people with ease. Small or big gatherings this chocolate fountain is perfect. Afterall you can just top it up with more pre-melted chocolate, if it gets eaten! The perfect piste de resistance and star dessert of the party! 😋🥳

Works well and good size for home setting
Bought for a party for my girls. Perfect for party of 10/12 - or more if it's not the central event. It is about the size of a kettle - so not huge. But worked fine out of the box and sat nicely on our kitchen table without dominating the space - cleaning is always a pain - but this is relatively simple and the bits disassemble to help cleaning. Instructions are clear and it kept the chocolate flowing all afternoon nicely - remember to clean it straight away or all the hard chocolate is a nightmare to remove.

Great fountain
Bought as a kids present. They love it. It's a bit fiddly to clean, and I've found it's not easy to get that lovely smooth cascade of chocolate, but that it probably down to the amount of chocolate you have to put in - it's a lot! It's not overly quiet, but it's not meant to be used in a library!

Impressive party centre-piece
This is a good sized chocolate fountain that kept 20 guests amused at a birthday party. Easy to set up; you have to ensure it is level, but by adjusting the feet that was not a problem. As long as the chocolate is melted properly it flows very well. Even with special 'fountain' chocolate I found it necessary to add a tiny amount of veg oil to get the flow right as the ambient temperature in the room was quite cool. Everyone had great fun dipping various fruits, marshmallows etc into the luxuriant flowing chocolate. Not too noisy, easy to clean at the end of use. Only niggle was the rather short length of flex which meant it required an extension cable to reach the socket. Overall very good, fun product. Highly recommended.

Good machine
The good- This was a nice looking unit, silver and black. Size was perfect, just tall enough to sit nicely on a table top. It has three tiers, deep enough for children to dip into and positioned in a way for chocolate to flow from top to the bottom tray, held lots of chocolate. We used wooden skewers as it was for lots of younger children and they were perfect and gave that extra length to keep them at a safe distance and disposable it also meant they were disposable. We used just over 1kg of chocolate and added a splash of oil to enable a more fluid movement. There were no problems with flow or taste. The settings are easy to control and you have a choice of melting chocolate before and then adding it to the fountain or just putting the chocolate straight on the bottom plate and the plate warming it and melting. This element I loved. No so great- the noise. It has a mechanical noise which was acceptable but this one also has a loud vibration element to it. The rotator is placed on top of the mechanical element and is not really secured, rather it uses the weight of the chocolate to keep it in place. When I put 1kg of chocolate in the top, the loud vibration stopped, but when the chocolate was being used and the chocolate became less, the vibration returned. The vibration was quite scary to a lot of the children and they wouldn’t go near the table until it was switched off. Once switched off everybody continued to dip into the chocolate no problem. The lead was long enough for our breakfast bar which the plug is right next to but I would have needed an extension if it was another room or plug, uk plug which was great. It made the teenagers that were there laugh but the little children believed it would blow up and left the table.I would buy this again if it was for older children as the noise didn’t seem to bother them, they were more focused on the chocolate.Clean up was actually quite therapeutic, hot soapy water leave to soak and then do it again. I had no problems there. For us it was definitely a show stopper and talking point, just not for the reasons I had hoped for. The seller approved a return which I am grateful for as I would not use this again until my children were much older. I did have to pay £2.73 for a return which was slightly annoying being Amazon Prime, but it is what it is.I recommend for older children or adults especially if you have plans to use lots of chocolate to keep the weight and rotator secure.Probably overshared but I hope this helps.

Works really well
I was a little sceptical about this, I've seen good and bad reviews about chocolate fountains in general. It takes about 700g of chocolate and then some cooking oil to help it flow but it works really well, it was run for a kids party for just over 2 hours, they absolutely loved it (and the grown ups!). It's a little bit of a pain to clean because it's not dishwasher proof and the main base doesn't come off, but we're getting quicker at cleaning it. It's not noisy but it does make a whirring noise, but when there are a few people and a party going on you don't really notice it. . All in all, nice quality would recommend.

Hit the mark!
Wanted one of these for years now & finally took the plunge after an invite to a wedding reception where we were asked to bring something along. After reviewing many, this was such good value for money.First impressions were it seamed a little flimsy, but after reading instructions & a little common sense, the chocolate flowed like a dream all evening & it was a total success.Reviews suggested a mix of 50/50 milk & dark chocolate & I added some olive oil which created a smooth flow, and was bsolutely delicious.Cleaning was a doddle, after decanting the remaining chocolate into a container, it was easy to clean, only a little challenging with a few nooks & crannies, but was soon pristine & packed away.Highly recommended & can't wait to use again.
