it saved my data in the drain
Ok so on the whole most usb memory sticks are sort of equal and you dont really know until you have got it. This one had good size, its actually very fast compared to a later one different make I bought which is so annoying. I bought the other one because I lost this one. I gave up looking, I figured I may have dropped it in the garden but even checking grass cuttings didnt reveal it. So move on 9 months and I was cleaning out a sink drain outside that seemed to be blocked - yup there's my drive floating in the goop stuck in the outfall pipe for months on end. For a laugh not really expecting it to work I dried and cleaned it for a week. I plugged it in and there in all its safe secure and uncorrupted state was all my data. ok so its well out of date and I had managed to recover my position from other backups but for the money this is the real deal. Excellent value for money and seemingly indestructible in fatty mucky water. Brilliant.

Great value
Reading some of the reviews here makes me wonder if they're written by a rival company. Read/write speeds depend on many different factors. I have transferred hundreds of large RAW image files to and from this drive and a very rough average would be 45-50MB/s write speed and 90-95MB/s read. Those reviewers quoting speeds in KB/s clearly don't know what they're doing, or talking about, or are simply lying.I use this as a quick and easy way to transfer files between my laptop and my PC. The drive works fine. It's a bargain. I'd not hesitate to buy another. What else do you need to know?

A huge storage capacity at a keen price
This stick works well and has vast storage. I wanted it for sharing large files. It works straight out of the box but the stick is formatted in such a way that it does not store large files. I had to reformat it before I could use it. I can do this but some users might not be able to, so I have had to mark the stick down.

Does what it says
It's a storage device that stores data. Nothing much else to say. Maybe a little slow to write files to, but some of the files I have stored are quite large. Otherwise good value and convenient to carry around

Great drive
I've had no problems with this drive so far. My experience with USB 3 flash drives is limited but this is no slower (at least not significantly) than others that I've tried like the Samsung BAR Plus and SanDisk Ultra, the latter of which I had two of and one of them decided to write protect itself which prompted me to look for another drive, I'm not quite sure why there are negative reviews for this thing.I use flash drives to boot PS2 games from which isn't a common reason to use these things and some drives like the Samsung BAR Plus just aren't able to do it for some reason, but this Kingston G3 drive works great with it and I trust that it will be more reliable than the SanDisk as I haven't heard any mentions of the write protect bug anywhere yet, and if you're just going to use this drive to copy files to and from then it'll surely be fine.
