Reasonable priced bread maker
I bought this to replace a 30+ year old Hinari that has given sterling service, but I decided to retire it, due to the Teflon lining of the pan starting to wear off, and the plastic lid starting to smell of 'Old plastic'I replaced the mixing pan bearing and seal around 6 years ago, but It doesn't look like the new one is designed to have this done, should it ever need it..The new one has a tough act to follow..I have only made one loaf so far using a recipe that doesn't contain dried milk powder or oil.For reference, 17.5 oz (500g)of strong bread flour,1.5 tsp of caster sugar, 1.5 tsp of salt,1/2 oz of butter, and 11.2 oz of tepid water and 2 tsp of powdered yeast.( we had only imperial scales when we bought the first bread maker..)This turned out quite well, if a little well done, using the medium crust colour, and the 1 1/2 lb loaf size. This new bread maker has quite a bit more functionality, and can bake different size loaves, so some experimentation with quantities and settings will I'm sure make delicious fresh bread...The enclosed instruction book, like other reviews have said, is a little strange, but a set of digital scales make the precise measuring quite straightforward.

Simple to use with great results
I've had my Morphy Richards fast bake bread maker for about 5 years and it's still making great healthy loaves of bread. It so simple to use, just put the ingredients in and let it do it's thing. The instruction manual is well laid out and easy to understand, it even has a problem solving section if the bread isn't turning out like it should. It's so simple to use that I've just recently got one for a family member who's in their 80's and they love it, especially that fresh baked bread smell wafting through their house. Highly recommend this product.

Homemade bread everyday!
The media could not be loaded. This machine has become the work horse in this house since we bought it. We have been having homemade bread almost everyday now!White bread, brown, wholemeal, multi grain, French (albeit tub shaped instead of baton/baguette shape) , sandwich bread, all turn out well. The first time we started the bread maker, we used the timer function for max 13 hours. No problem with bread softness and yeast not being bloomed in warm water. Have been using the timer function most days. Every bread turn out great! Some users complained about the mixer being stuck in the bread. I have solved that dilemma by turning over the bread pan when your remove the pan from the bread maker (while it is still warm) and manually turn the mixer both ways (you can refer to the video attached). That releases the mixer from the bread. Yes, the bread is not perfect, as there is a hole at the bottom but it is not obvious and do not affect the quality of the breads at all.Adjustments to the recipes: I reduced the sugar in sandwich bread as we prefer less sweet sandwich bread. Also used Nigella Lawson’s suggestion to replace liquids with potato water (don’t discard the water from boiling potatoes and don’t add the salt to this water). That took the softness of the bread to another level! Like my son said, “It’s just like the store bought bread” 😛

Buy it! It’s brilliant!
The media could not be loaded. Oh my goodness!! Love it, love it! First loaf wasn’t the best. Second loaf I paid meticulous detail to the instructions about keeping the ingredients separate and about not opening the lid halfway through and I have to say that my second loaf was to die for it makes a fantastic sandwich and it makes the most delicious toast and butter. I don’t think I ever want shop bought bread again. I did buy it for my son’s gluten intolerance and I haven’t nailed the gluten-free bread yet but I’m looking forward to trying attempt number two!! just be mindful that even though it goes quiet that it is still working I made the mistake of restarting the program and opening the lid a few times to check it when actually it’s part of the process to rest.

Excellent breadmaker!
Very pleased with the ease-of-use and results of this breadmaker. My first loaf was a bit of a fail, (due to me messing up ingredients and probably using the wrong setting), but my second loaf, pictured, has come out perfectly. It has a lovely crust but you can tell it's a soft airy loaf. I was also very impressed that it came off the paddle so clearly (also pictured - that was immediately after tipping the bread onto a cooling rack). I used the time delay setting and woke up to perfectly done bread before work! I'm looking forward to trying lots of different recipes. If this is your first foray into using a breadmaker, like it is mine, I recommend this as an affordable option (it has all the most important settings that are featured on the more expensive ones anyway, like sourdough, french, pizza dough, cake, and even jam). 10/10.
