Kombucha should be avoided, as it can contain wild strains of live candida. A low carb, low fat diet based on lean meat and and non-starchy vegetables is best. The root cause of candida overgrowth is zinc deficiency. Until you solve that problem any other treatment will only give temporary results.

DMSA is available as non-prescription, however, because of a lawsuit involving DMSA most manufacturers have quietly stopped selling it. It is common for both issues to occur together.
