How big are the toast slots? Wondering if it will fit other brand wooden breads?

I can't actually measure the slot as the toaster lives with my granddaughter, but unless it's a very thick sliced loaf I would have thought it would fit!

Does the toast actually pop up?

Yeah but you have to do it by hand on the pull up button on side it's not automatic ...

Does the toast pop up itself?

Yes, the toast pops up when the lever at the side is pressed down. My 20 month old granddaughter loves playing with this - she particularly enjoys popping the toast and separating the pats of butter then putting them back together again. This is a well made wooden toy which has given my granddaughter endless pleasure.

Does the toast come out?

Yes. It's got Velcro on it for the butter. ð~
