Rings of confidence.......
Okay, so I have a confession - these were an impulse buy just before Christmas. I was catering for ten on the day and six of us for the week and I wanted to make a real effort for my guests. Having looked at the choice on Amazon I considered these to be great value for money. The quality of them was very impressive for the price and very easy to use. Please don't laugh at my efforts but I did a side of salmon, some nice veggies and a creamed herby mash which I used the rings for to produce individual towers topped with a floret of broccoli. Gosh, it looked fabulous! My guests were generous with their compliments.The rings were easy to use on the little base. It produced very smart results. They washed up nicely too. I think I will now be looking into many other recipes as for such little effort you can make simple food look like smart. A great purchase that will see lots of use and not be relegated to the back of the cupboard...........

makes professional looking little cakes
I used a recipe from Mary Berry "Mini apple and almond cakes" and these worked out perfectly. They are a good size for individual portions and I am going to make mini dauphinoise potatoes using them too. They are not dishwasher safe but best to wash them by hand. I will probably end up putting them in the machine at some point but they seem robust and tough. There are 4 rings and then two other items that came with them but I haven't used them yet. I used mine in the oven but they are also good for using on a plate/bowl and putting cooked food into them and then removing the ring so it makes food neatly presented in a round shape.I will be buying more but smaller size ones as they may be more useful in baking.
