Ohropax Earplugs Soft 10s

These are the best, most effective, none invasive earplugs I have ever used. My partner regularly pushes up some gentle Z’s, but every now and then she can bring the whole nasal orchestra into play, performing a whole concerto, complete with a timpani percussion section, at full volume, in Z major. I’ve tried various earplugs over the years, and have experienced earplugs that have blocked next to no sound whatsoever to those that almost make the grade. Some are really comfortable (usually those that are completely useless) and some have felt like trying to sleep with a Lego brick stuck in your ear. These earplugs, (for me), block out nearly 100% of any Z’s that she wants to bring to the table, and are pliable enough to make them extremely comfortable to sleep in. I will say, that I do insert them as deep as I can, but the relief from the constant barrage of Z’s is worth it. Probably against manufacturers recommendations, I do re-use each pair of earplugs, five or six times, making sure to store in a clean, sterile receptivity between uses. I haven’t tried cleaning them, to try and prolong their use, because they are so good, I wouldn’t like to do anything that might diminish their effectiveness. For anyone who has to suffer the snores of their partner, these are a must. ***WARNING*** These are so effective, I don’t hear ANYTHING when I have a pair of these earplugs in, this includes my alarm clock, and one would have to assume therefore, a smoke alarm or similar would be equally silenced. However, I also don’t hear any Friday night drunks outside the window, as they stagger home from their night out. I don’t hear Johnny No-Brain, who thinks everyone should share the ‘thump thump’ music from his car stereo at 2.00 in the morning, as he drives past. NOTHING!

I bought one pack of these (with 10 in a pack) for my teenage offspring, as they were attending a rock concert. Knowing that they have a tendency to want to spend some time right next to the stage (and speakers) I wanted them to be able to preserve their hearing, without having to go to the expense of investing in musician's earplugs (which are designed to protect the ears without losing the clarity of sound). As they were not going to a Vivaldi concert, I felt that regular earplugs with a good decibel reduction rating would be more than sufficient. I am happy to report that both of my wonderful freeloaders, err, children had no ringing in their ears whatsoever, and told me that the earplugs were comfortable - they are very soft and have a nice, smooth finish - and worked really well. As someone who suffers from tinnitus (after a Metallica concert many, many moons ago - thanks guys!) I can attest to the value of investing in these to protect yourself, or your loved ones from the misery of damaged hearing. Naturally, they would be equally useful for someone who wishes to use them to block out noise during sleep, or someone who works in a noisy industrial environment. Buy these without hesitation!

My purpose in using these was to get to sleep at night, and remain asleep, throughout the thudding and bumping of noisy neighbours. They are very effective throughout a range of general sounds, except for low thudding, which you tend to feel rather than hear. They effectively mute most noise down to inaudibilty, except as I've said, but only with the following provisos: Don't attempt to wash them or even get them wet, else even when dry they will be useless. Make sure you fully insert them, and get them well into your ears, gently rolling them in your fingers to achieve a snug fit. They will then naturely re-expand, filling whole ear cavity. If your nails can't extract them afterwards, tweezers are effective. However, they have a limited effective life-span with repeated use, after, say a week or two, after which you'll notice them being unable to be rolled properly for insertion and they will hardly cut out any sound, also. I highly recommend them as a sleep solution for random or short term use. Over an indefinite period for that solution, they will prove expensive.

My husband loves these, he sleeps so much better with them. They are easy to use, and durable and a great shape. They can be reused several times and are good value.

I read through the reviews before ordering and figured why not, it's 5£. I need earplugs as I have an upstairs neighbour whom for some reason likes to wear high heals in the middle of the night, clomping around on a tiled floor from which my bedroom is separated by - what seems like only - drywall. I kid you not, it sounds like she's walking around in my room, in her full high-heeled 150kg glory, when I am in bed. These earplugs nullify the above effect amazingly well. As other reviewers have stated - yes, they are slightly less comfortable than cushy-mushy retail earplugs which don't block out as much sound. I have tried every earplug readily available on the Belgian retail market (Quies & others) and none of them block out as much sound as these. If the perception of sound is based on how well sound travels through a small tunnel in your ear, then the blocking of that sound is based on how well the earplugs shut the tunnel, and good tunnel-shutting will not be amazingly comfortable. period. I put them in and within 10 minutes forget I have them in. People complaining they've fallen out by the time they wake up might be in their right, but to me it's an added surplus, at least I can have peace & quiet when falling asleep AND hear my alarm clock when I need to wake up. These are an absolute life saver! I have a condition that makes me extremely sensitive to noise , I can't sleep at all at night because it just sounds like buzzing from the electricity , or I can hear everything that happens outside , if my cats are making noise or my housemate etc! I was very stressed out from having very little sleep and decided to buy these I didnt expect much but I was so wrong they are a life saver! Easy to pop in just role them gently between your fingers and push them into the eat they expand in the eat and fit snuggly they don't fall out if you put them in correctly and you just have blissful silence 😍 I can't hear my housemate snore , the electric , cats, people or traffic anymore with these in and for the first time in many many years I have a had a week of full nights sleep!!! Amazing product will defiantly buy more when I need to! They arrived super fast well packaged and I just don't think I could get by without them Now!!

These seemed to work well for outside noise. But I woke up and both were out of the ears. I put them back in, but they were out again in the morning. Comfortable to wear, but no point if they wont stay put!

I bought these ear plugs last month for my little 8 year old nephew Melvin as our then local GP had informed us that Melvin had a problem with his ears. Melvin was diagnosed with being deaf back in the fall of 2010 and we were very worried. Our family are bikers and we try to get our little ones on to racers or town bikes from a young age. Don't get me wrong, we hold no respect for the BMX lovers of this world and will fight them on sight but when little Melvin was diagnosed with his ears we thought that gearless stunt-biketry would be the be all and end all of his double wheeled world. I said to his mother and my brother (his father) that I as his uncle and god-father would get him on a two wheeler if it was the last thing I did. The last thing I did was this review so I think that you can all tell that Melvin made it too. I had to distract him initially by waving a sock in his peripheral vision so that he ran towards a snare trap that I'd set up. But once he was snared and subdued and after 2 days of water-cannoning and starvation, he was ready enough to accept these earplugs in to his ears and his life. And since then we've never looked back as a community. He can now ride a 12 gear bicycle across multiple terrains without falling ever. We can leave the buds in for about 3 weeks until they nearly become part of his head and then we renew. I cannot thank Amazon enough for this gift (yes we paid for it, but it is not a purchase; it is a lease of life) You have saved our family with this product.
