Good quality, but more coarse than expected!
I bought this because the paper is 110gsm. Since the last sketchbook I had was 120gsm and very smooth, I thought this would be even smoother paper, but it's a lot more coarse. For pencils, it's fine, but still too coarse for my liking!Take a look at the photos to assess whether this paper might suit you. Just know that the paper is quite coarse when actually in use, even though it looks fairly smooth in the photos.I'd highly recommend buying your sketchbooks on location, in a real art shop where you are permitted to try out the paper and its texture, etc, and buy something you know you'll like. Guaranteed to be better than online shopping.Overall, it's a good sketchbook, and very adequate in terms of quality. I'm happy with it, just disappointed by the texture of the paper!

Excellent sketchbook with lovely paper that - unlike many sketchbooks - is suitable for sketching.
I worked in an art supplies shop for nearly ten years, and for a few of them, this was our main brand of sketch book. Before that, we had had a brand that had very nice bindings and looked really nice, but which had what I thought was a slightly boring and too thin and smooth paper – someone’s preferene, of course, but not to everyone’s taste. This one is more how I’d expect a sketching paper to be, not too thin, and with a nice texture and tooth that instantly gives more life to pencil lines and even makes it suitable for a little bit of pastel or charcoal work too for which too smooth papers seldom work that well.Another thing I like about these is the nice and wide spiral binding, allowing for a slight increase in thickness too without making the sketch book look like an accordion. Great if you, like me, enjoy keeping other things in your sketchbook for inspiration, like newspaper clippings, photos, letters and whatever else you might fit in there. I actually made a hole in the front cover of mine and attached a leather strap to it so I could keep it properly closed so nothing could fall out.The binding also allows you to fold the paper all the way around, leaving you with a perfectly flat and very well suported surface to work on, the end covers being very rigid and solid. Good for both writing and drawing. In fact, I started using these to write notes in the shop, keeping them in one convenient place. Being able to easily tear out pages as one has finished with notes also was a great convenience. After using it at work, and liking it so much, this is the kind of book I started using to write down notes for artwork, poetry ideas, and other creative inspirations that I’d be working on later. At the time I ordered this on Amazon, I wasn’t in need of another one for sketching, but I had a book full, and it was time to transfer my creative notes to a new book.

Ideal size and quality finish for me!
A compact sketch pad that I find an ideal size to carry about in my day sac. The spiral binding lets me use the hard front/back covers together as a reinforced, strong support for my sketching and the perforated page edges allow for easy removal. The smooth finish quality of the paper I find great for both pencil and ink sketches and it takes my colour/pastel pencil additions with ease. Great wee buy.

Good but could be better
A good quality notebook with perforated pages, which is nice if you want to be able to tear sheets out.The paper is thinner than expected which is a little disappointing as drawings will show through. Additionally, the notebook arrived damaged, with one corner of the cover torn.

good sketchbook
This is definitely a good sketchbook. I use it for sketching with graphite and colored pencils, and sometimes even crayons. I give it 4 stars because there is another sketchbook that I like even better and it costs less: Deko by Hahnemuhle. The Deko works better for my needs due to its thicker and smoother paper.

Great sketchbook.
This is a really great sketchbook; at first I was using it for practicing drawing manga faces, now I'm sketching in it for an assignment ready for my Uni interview. I will say, the perforations at the edge of the page don't help with removing pages, but it's nice quality paper, great for students.
