Amazing book
This book is a retelling of the battle centred around a town of Pakistan, Barki. This book not only revolves around the battle, but it contains the raw emotions and duties of the soldiers that also leads a young officer to know the truth and meaning behind naam, namak and nishaan.I must say that the author has managed to portray the battle exactly the same in words which is such an impeccable thing and admirable simultaneously. The cover didn't catch my attention previously but the title intrigued me. Still i wasn't sure about the book, until i started reading it.It was certainly not my preferred genre, but it was definitely the best unexpected change in taste so far. I loved it and would surely recommend this to others.

A COMPLETE PACKAGE OF SUSPENSE, TURNS, MOTIVATION AND INSPIRATION.
Battle of Barki by Kiran Nirvan Brigadier Kanwaljit Singh is a collection of brave stories. The Pakistani town of Barki, some twenty-odd kilometres from Lahore, acts as the strongest defensive position for the Pakistan army. Therefore, although being nearly difficult, its acquisition is essential. The Indian Army's 4 SIKH, under the leadership of Lt Col Anant Singh, has been tasked with taking Barki. Following six days of fighting, 4 SIKH is given the order to go toward Khemkaran without realising they will be captured. The narrative is filled with tragedies and conflicting feelings. In the work, the author made an effort to include the viewpoint of the average person. The gallantry of Indian soldiers during the India-Pakistan conflict placed the enemy nation on the defensive, and in a short period, they were able to take it.The storyline is intriguing, captivating and original. It is the ideal fusion of love, memories and many emotions. The story would keep the reader interested until the very conclusion of the book. The language and structure of the book are simple and easy to follow. The authors have a talent for creating raw, alluring characters. The book's extensive research gives readers a clearer knowledge of the strategies and methods used by the adversary in hostile terrain, including deserts, plains and mountains.
