UPDATE: Its been a few months since the replacement mirror arrived and I'm happy to say it's perfect. The first one was missing a screw, hence it's instability, but the replacement is an excellent mirror. I've been cycling several times a week often across rough ground and it stays in position and does exactly what it's supposed to. Highly recommended. This mirror would be perfect if it stayed in position! Sadly the one I received has a loose hinge, causing it to dangle uselessly rather than point to where it should. It was easy to put together and fit perfectly in the end of my mountain bike handlebars. Within seconds of fitting it the mirror had dropped from pointing out at 90 degrees to pointing at the floor at 180 degrees, rendering it useless. I kept manually adjusting it during my ride and when it was in the correct position it worked really well. I could easily fix the problem with some strong tape, but I shouldn't have to. I'll be returning the item and have ordered a replacement, so I will update once I've received it. Hopefully the new one will stay put and get a glowing review!

Update. I've been using this mirror for several months and am delighted with it. Its remained stable on 25 mile off road and on road rides and is very easy to adjust on the move. Its very well designed, provides a good rear view, is easy to fold when transporting your bike in the car and even looks good. What more could you want ? Very please with this mirror. Its not too big and looks good on the bike but most of all it gives a good field of view behind you. It is easy to fit with lots of adjustment but be prepared to spend time adjusting it several times to get it right. It stayed stable on a 12 mile off road ride so very pleased with it.

These bar-end mirrors are never perfect (not the mirrors fault - it’s the fact they’re attached to your wobbly, moving handle bars); but better having one than not. Dead easy to fit, decent build-quality and with a great field of view thanks to the triple adjustment. Can see the dreaded ‘White Van Man’ behind me without too much fiddling. Mounted on my electric bike, it’s kinda rock-steady (once it’s adjusted) even over bumps and holds its angle perfectly. The mirror stays clear and gives excellent visibility in traffic. Simple, cheap, reliable, and genuinely useful. Highly recommended!

Quality made product.

I bought this after a previous mirror broke. It appears to be quite robust and the ability to move the mirror inboard, across the handlebar grip, is very useful and minimises the chance of accidental damage. The mirror is east to adjust however the view behind is not the greatest. Overall, for me, the mirror is a good compromise between rear visibility, likelihood of damage, adjustability and ease of use, although if I was commuting in busy city traffic I’d want a better view behind me.

Good idea, that almost worked. I like its ability to fold it to stop damage, particularly when being transported. The nut and bolt used to tighten it has the nut sunk into the plastic moulding, but was not firm enough to tighten before it spun in the moulding, making it impossible to tighten up properly. It remained only just adequately tight. Riding a comfort bike and being sat quite a way back from the bars gave you a limited view through the mirror. It just isn't big enough for my style of bike to allow a confident view behind. Shame as I liked the idea.

Good clear mirror. Previous to this I used a cheap £5 one that was big enough but the quality of the reflective surface was lousy. This zefal's mirror surface is good and clear. Size about right for me. Easy to fit. Problem of inconveneince: you cannot lean your bike sometimes on the right side because the mirror is in the way - by the way, I have 'bar-ends' and my mirror is at the top of the right hand one. But good value mirror, extremely adjustable.

Having tried a mirror with a flexible mount & noted a vibration issue I decided to try one of these fitting at the end of my drop bars. The mirror arrived quickly with the mount as a kit of parts, instructions are fairly clear, the mount replaces your existing bar end plug and can fit a range of bar sizes, once tightened up the mount was nice and secure. Mirror adjustment is easy and the ability to fold away is very handy when parking the bike, though it does mean you must re-align the mirror next time. In use the mirror does provide a stable image, though on drop bars a little smaller than I would have liked and in this configuration it is necessary to look down to view especially when on the upper bars. Its clear this mirror shape is designed for LHS fitting, so RHS fitting in the UK means the view is a little compromised. I`ve now been using this for over a year, it still works well and takes knocks without damage. Overall a nice mirror, not ideal for drop bars, but to date I`ve not found one that is.

Specchietto in plastica molto utile, non ingombra come i classici specchietti da bicicletta. Arriva in una semplice bustina di plastica con anello adattatore e perno/vite di fissaggio, lo specchietto è smontato ma semplicissimo da assemblare (è smontato per permettere l'installazione a destra o a sinistra a seconda delle necessità). Si installa dentro il tubo del manubrio, direi che si può utilizzare anche su bici da corsa (non lo ho testato) ma sicuramente su city bike, MTB e bici da trekking. Io lo ho installato su quest'ultimo tipo (bici Trekking Felt), si monta lo specchio sullo snodo, si toglie il tappino di chiusura del tubo manubrio, si allenta quasi completamente la vite di fissaggio dello specchietto, si inserisce e si serra (non del tutto) la vite dello specchietto. A questo punto consiglio di salire in sella (nella posizione che terrete pedalando) e regolate lo specchio in modo che si possa vedere bene senza dover fare torsioni o movimenti particolari. A questo punto potete serrare la vite del perno così come quella dello snodo dello specchio. Resta molto stabile anche se sollecitato, io lo uso per percorre ogni giorno dei tratti di strada con pavé. In definitiva lo consiglio per la sua robustezza, semplicità di montaggio e manutenzione.
