I bought these for running, and I've worn them a dozen times now. They are quite comfortable and fit me exactly as they're described - just above the knee. They're roomy enough that I have full freedom of movement while running without being baggy. These shorts also don't have that built-in underwear that many others do, which for me is a plus.These shorts are well made. The stitching is excellent and it is immediately obvious that the materials they're are made of are sturdy. They're also light and breathe nicely. I expect that they will last a long time.The waist is adjustable with a drawstring, and it also has an elastic band that ensures a snug but very comfortable fit.The big selling feature for me with these shorts is the fact that they have pockets, something that is weirdly absent from every other pair of running shorts I've ever owned and that I've wished my other pairs had. The pockets on these shorts are large enough for things in that you might want to bring with you, like your phone, an iPod or a slim wallet. The zippers that open and close them have a high quality feel and have been well laid so that they zip and unzip easily without snagging.I would definitely say these shorts are great value for the money and I will definitely be buying more of them.

Fantastic shorts! Great fit, feel good on, no chafing or rubbing as they feel quite smooth next to skin. The elastic waist band is a nice touch, with a sort of soft feel to it, so they don't dig in there and the zipped pockets hold everything in well (I've had others where the actual pocket and whatever is inside flaps around if you are running at speed - these keep everything securely in place). Really quick drying too.Only criticism is they could do with a small pocket on the back, maybe to store a key or money/bank card - just helps spread the load if you are carry phone and maybe gels or other food in the side pockets.I'll definitely be buying more, but may wait to see if they add that third pocket before I do.EDIT: To give you an idea of fit as I see some are saying to go for a size bigger, I am about 5' 10" (179cm) with a 34" (86cm) waist and a medium fits perfectly. I would normally always pick medium sized clothes any way so don't agree with picking a size up in these.

I had good first impressions of these shorts. They looked stylish and when wearing, I found they fit me well and were comfortable for rigorous use. I did a fair bit of running in them and they were suitable for this purpose. My main disappointment here is they were quite flimsy and the pockets ended up coming apart really easily and were beyond any kind of repair after only a couple of months of use. I got some higher value and stronger shorts which I've been using since.

My teenage son is going through a growth spurt so it’s hard to find shorts that he feels like are the right length we tried these and he was very satisfied. He loves the fact that the pockets zip up and now he doesn’t worry about losing his phone or wallet.

Working our or walking around, these are perfect. I have several pair and prefer black.Hand them up right from the washer. (NO DRYER!) They dry overnight. Handy for any trip for that reason. Buy them!
