Not the greatest film in the world
Not the greatest film in the world, but mindlessly entertaining on a wet afternoon. The 3D is a bit disappointing. It feels like layers of 2D cutouts with no convincing depth to characters faces and bodies. Compared to the 3D in Top Gun for example this doesn't compare favourably...which is exactly the opposite of what you'd expect considering this was obviously shot with 3D in mind. Still it's all good fun for the low price.

Silly.
This is a silly version of a classic (Flying machines and the like.) The cast clearly ham it up and make no attempt to take the film or themselves seriously and the result is a likeable romp that will never win awards or a big box office. The best thing for me is that it is excellent 3-D and if you love watching in 3-D then this is well worth the price.Okay but not a classic of a classic.

Ridiculous Popcorn Fun!
It's not gritty and realistically violent. No, this is a film version which has all the visual style of the Assassin's Creed games and hyper-ornate richness of locations and sets. The action is over-over-the-top, stylised non-sense, which is just so much fun! It's not a Richard Lester rough and tumble type version or a traditional swashbuckling Disney Brat-Pack version (both of which I love), but it's a 21st century re-invention that kids will love, and us big kids will also.

worth watching
Arrived in good year. Very enjoyable action adventure with some amusing thrills. Twists and turns.

Good Family Fun
Super fun. Obviously not historically faithful but who cares. Other blu-rays have better 3D but this one will no doubt have several outings. Suitable for the whole family so good as a demo for those wanting to check out our new 3D TV. So far this is the only 3D Blu-ray we have bought, the others have all been rented.

Pure Escapism
Very much in the swashbuckling vein and pure escapism with an improbable plot. Great badies and for once a King who knows what is going on( usually portrayed as the idiot), the only week link was D'Artagnan, American actors are just not creditable in this sort of film. Really enjoyed it though.
