A doddle to use
Looks really good and is an absolute doddle to use. I didn't even read any instructions, there is no need. It sounded really good and I used it live the night that I got it. My only complaint is that putting the battery in memes using a screwdriver to release the hood. A bit of a pain

Does that thing.
Comp with some color , ive tried others, this one always wins, easy to set, bullet proof, non pretentious.

Subtle tone shaper
Compressing thickens the tone and increases sustain subtly. This does the job simply and sweetly. Not the first pedal you should buy, but one you that should be on your shopping list.Running into gain pedals is awesome, but will increase the noise floor noticeably. However, deft finger work can minimise it.Sounds great into a reverb too.

You need one of these on your pedalboard!
Fantastic compressor that works perfectly.A subtle effect but an essential one.

No Frills.
Simplicity itself. Does what exactly it says on the tin, no frills, no fuss - just gets the job done.Great pedal.

Great!
This is excellent as a booster and when I’m playing heavy lead solos this does so much for the sustain. I play it through a fender blues Deluxe and most of the time I actually just leave it on subtly because I like what it does to the tone

Sounds good
I have had a few Dyna Comp pedals over my 20 years of playing guitars. If there’s a sonic difference in any year of these two-knob versions, I certainly can’t hear it.I use these at ‘snake eyes’ — where the lines on the dials are facing one another. High output, low compression. This adds a bit of boost and sustain but if you do it behind a gain pedal you will amplify all the background noise.I wish they had a wet/dry or mix setting, but the sort of grungy squishy feel that it gives your playing is pretty unique, and any ‘proper’ compressors I’ve had with a blend don’t really achieve it.
