Lexibook ChessMan Elite Interactive Electronic Chess CG1300 | 64 levels, LED indicators, battery or adapter powered, Black/white

My first Chessman had a fault which I had to return The replacement is excellent. I have previously been using the Millennium Chess Genius (£170) and like the Chessman much better. There is a good choice of levels to choose from, it is easy to tap a square with a light touch to move a piece (not so with the Chess Genius) and it is user friendly. For very good players the ELO of 1800 may not be strong enough (the Chess Genius is 2200 i think) but ELO 1800 is plenty strong enough for me.

I'm a very bad chess player so I purchased the ChessMan Elite to improve my game. It's the cheapest chess computer I could find which does show in the quality of materials used. Two of the buttons did not operate smoothly so I opened the back and found they were rubbing on the inside of the case, after trimming them down a bit they now work perfectly. The plastic chess pieces are horrible so I purchased a small wooden set from Amazon for £6.99, they are much better, slightly heavier and a better size for the board. After all that I am very pleased with it. I could have paid a lot more for no great advantage to me. It works well, but you need to read the instructions first if you haven't used one before. It's great fun and early days but I can hold my own on level one now.

Maybe not the best quality of materials but adequate for the price. Otherwise it's exactly what I wanted. Interactive and a learning tool.

Love the idea but they have sent wrong parts, got 3 bishops and missing a pawn, Messaged product support 3 times, messaged them on instagram saying they will forward the message on. Were is the support??

I got this set to get a more modernised version of a computerised chess set I had as a kid. This isn't bad, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. The feel of the set, especially the pieces, is quite flimsy. Pieces fall over or off very easily as there's no weight or magnetism to them. The computer and the multiple difficulty levels work fairly well, but I did find the sounds to be quite annoying. Overall, not a bad set but the cheap feel doesn't really live up to the cost in my view.

Great looking chessboard. Just the right size,not too large or too small. Straight forward instructions starting with beginners level gradually rising up to higher levels of advancement. I'm well satisfied I'm considering buying a more expensive set off this company/shop again.

Love this chess set super sensitive board press very gently with your finger to move your pieces not a great chess player but know about defense.pieces are very light but not a problem.I've got slim fingers so that helps.Computer may go nuts sometimes but don't panic it's not faulty there is a needle hole at the back of the computer saying reset just press with the needles eye job done it goes back to factory settings.

Totally agree with other customer, pieces too easily knocked over, although, an enjoyable game ☹️

Solo hay plástico entre en chip y el escáner,tiene que estar embalado correctamente.Hoy me ha llegado un modelo estropeado,no hacia nada,solo emitía pitido,no reacciona.Esto me ha pasado tres veces en máquinas de ajedrez compradas online. Con los programas para pc las máquinas de ajedrez casi han desaparecido;con esta maquinita de lexibook se podrá jugar una partida en cualquier parte por unos 29€,apenas consume y su portabilidad,modos de enseñanza,y la naturalidad dejugar sobre un tablero sensible de casi 19x19cm. Este modélo de lexibook funciona con 3 pilas AA y con gran autonomia,también tiene entrada para transformador AC. Es ideal para principiantes,tiene un programa muy antiguo de Kaare Danielsen,con una fuerza intermedia todas las máquinas de ajedrez de lexibook usan el mismo programa. Dispone de un gran tablero sensible,solo hay que presionar la fichas para que queden registrada las jugadas. La máquina muestra sus jugadas con los 16 led.Se le puede introducir cualquier posición mientras sea legal. Tiene en su memoria los primeros movimientos de las principales aperturas. Hay 64 niveles para elegir;normal,agresivo y defensivo.El nivél de búsqueda de mates puede ver a una profundidad de 4 jugadas completas (8 movimientos). Se puede retroceder dos jugadas si te equivocas.Puedes cambiar de nivel en medio de una partida,o quitar las fichas,presionado el símbolo de la pieza te dice donde estaba. - Las fichas son bastante feas,pero se puede poner otras del mismo tamaño del chino.Se echa de menos un compartimento para las piezas. Puedes apagarla en medio de la partida,mientras no pulses "New game" recordara la posición. Tiene una función que no suelen tener una máquina de este précio,ni las mas económicas de kasparov, y es que piensa en tu tiempo la posible jugada que vas a hacer,por eso suele responder de forma instantánea,incluso en nivelos altos. No tiene pantalla ni reloj.- Es mas fuerte y tiene mejor calidad de fabricación que todas la kasparov por debajo de 50€.Como la junior,avalon o alex el alquimista,etc...el no llevar el nombre de Kasparov influye en el précio. Tiene un modo de entrenamiento con un led rojo que se enciente cuando haces una buena jugada. El manual es bastante completo. Saludos.

Frustrating item, does not register the movement everytime.. due to this issue it is frustrating and confusing who's turn it is and what is wrong when it starts complaining about the move done. Non magnetic.. item returned

Est-ce possible d'avoir des pions de rechange ? Certaines sont cassées.

Works very well - and a lot of fun. The AI is surprisingly good and fun to play against. The actual pieces are a bit cheap and light so it could be worth replacing them. Excellent value.

Très bien pour les amateurs et au delà. Le prix est bas et la qualité assez bien. Je me remets à jouer avec plaisir.
