JETech Case for iPad 6th/5th Gen 9.7" (2018/2017), Black

I've been buying JETech cases for my and my family's various iPads since 2014, and while I'm a little disappointed in the steady price creep -- especially in the last couple of years -- it would be unfair to blame the manufacturer for everything that's happened to supply the various chains.And these cases still offer exceptional value. Sure, they're not going to armour the device in a warzone, but as a relatively inexpensive way of protecting hundreds of £ worth of tablet from occasional knocks, scratches and drops they're great.One oddity I've found with these, and a lot of similar cases including official Apple ones, is that the orientation for the "typing stand" configuration feels as though it's the wrong way round. By which I mean that when the cover is configured into the triangular stand for landscape typing, everything is in the wrong place. The volume buttons are on the bottom edge, against the table where they're hard to get to. The headphone socket is at the highest point, leading to an awkward cable drop. And, if you're naturally right-thumbed, the Home button is on the wrong side.With these JETech cases, I've found the most comfortable solution is to forego the "typing stand" option altogether and just hinge the last fold of the case down so that it forms a vertical kickstand. This lets you use the case for typing with the iPad "the right way up". It's easier to show than to tell, so please see the photo.While this orientation might look ridiculously weak, as though it will collapse at any moment especially on a slippery surface, it has proven amazingly sturdy on even the shiniest or wobbliest of tables. As long as you don't have the tapping force of an angry woodpecker, it really does work. Gravity and friction in perfect harmony. Physics FTW.Of course if you're not as weirdly obsessive as I am (or you exclusively use wireless headphones and never touch the hardware buttons) then the "typing stand" will probably be fine for you. In which case please ignore the last three paragraphs.TL;DR: the price may have crept up, and the typing orientation may be quirky for some, but as a relatively inexpensive way to protect your expensive gear you can't really go wrong with these.

This cover/ protector, is the best I’ve used, having had an iPad (3rd gen) for 4 years and using a very expensive top of the range (circa £70) cover, I chose this cover for my new iPad and could not be more pleased, it stays clean, protects perfectly. The magnetic shut down works perfectly every time, and feels very solid, iPad fits perfectly into a good quality plastic base with a solid “click” and with easy access to all buttons, though I can’t really vouch for its durability yet as I’ve only used it for 3 months, I feel by its quality that it will last a long time, so much so, that I purchased a green one for my partner, if I need to replace it at some time I would have no hesitation in buying the same again.EditNeeded to replace it as it’s getting a bit scruffy on the corners with constant daily use, it’s still the best one out there at this price point. Top quality and the ‘Sleep and Wake” function still working on the old one,This will be my 3rd one and if I had a gripe it would be because they have made the back cover a sort of tinted smoke colour and one can now see the ’logo’, whereas the old one’s had a rubberised cover to match the front, which allowed for a perfect grip whilst carrying, it’s still worth 6-7 stars all day long. And highly recommended.

It is a good case and fits well on my iPad. Look OK but quality is average. it is slightly below my expectation but not complaining or returning as price is very cheap. Black Colour of case is not outstanding but Ok. Overall protects my iPad from accidental damages

I purchased it to replace one that was years old I was very impressed that it easy to set up and it great that I can use my iPad to be able to watch various platforms on itAnd it protects the screenI would recommend it to anyone that has a similar model

Likes - excellent fit - clips in firmly and has a nice semi matt feel about it. Auto on/off works well. A good thing that might be also a slight reservation is that it has very accurate cut outs to enable you to reach the various control buttons - the accuracy of these is a good thing but they leave the buttons completely exposed although recessed slightly. The genuine Apple cases ( at vast cost) cover the buttons completely and have soft press areas so you can operate the keys without risk of dust getting into the controls. Not so good is the screen cover - it does the covering job very well but it is floppy and the magnet is weak so it is hard to use it as a folded stand for the tablet. All in all I recommend this as very good value and as a protector for the tablet but not if you need the cover to act as a kick stand. Just to reinforce the last point, since I wrote this, the ipad has slid down from a vertical resting position and nearly broken on more than one occasion, The case is very slippery and I would actually now only recommend it if you are going to lay the ipad flat or hold the tablet in your hand

Für einen Preis von rund 11 € ist diese Langlebigkeit schlichtweg herausragend.​Warum ich sie direkt wieder gekauft habe:​Perfekte Passform & Schutz: Sitzt wie angegossen und schützt das iPad zuverlässig im Alltag.​Funktionalität: Die Standfunktion und die Auto-Schlaf/Wach-Funktion funktionieren tadellos.​Unschlagbares Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: Nach fast 7 Jahren täglicher Nutzung gab es für mich keinen Grund, nach einer anderen Marke zu suchen.​Kleine Anekdote zum iPad selbst: Das zugehörige iPad (9,7 Zoll) läuft bei uns immer noch einwandfrei. Es ist im Laufe der Jahre innerhalb der Familie weitergewandert und leistet nach wie vor treue Dienste. Umso schöner, dass es mit genau dieser Hülle jetzt wieder bestens geschützt in die nächste Runde geht.​Fazit: Klare Kaufempfehlung! Wer eine günstige, robuste und langlebige Hülle sucht, macht hier absolut nichts falsch.
