Great qualityBarely any difference between this and the original oneNote that it doesn’t come with the pcb board, you need to take yours apart and move it over in the new one, and doesn’t come with the vw badge on the back due to obvious reasons

Although the key looks the same, the internal sizing means parts aren't interchangeable. This meant I was unable to use the key, except for the small part that hooks it to a key ring. The shape of the outer case and centre plastic mould is different for each key. Because there is a component you can't take out in the centre of the original key by moving the motherboard across to the new key without it the car will not start.

A perfect replacement for my Passat key fob, well build and has proper fitment.Just a heads up when replacing the shell remember to swap the capsule shaped chip on the white part,other wise the car will unlock but wont start.

I was disappointed with this as I wanted to put my existing key insert into this new one ,when I tried I found the piece's to be incompatible.very dissatisfied.I would return but it's not worth the effort of repacking and posting.not good.
