This is a good and effective lock and a great deterrent. I drive a BMW and in most modern BMWs now, you have to step down on the clutch for the engine to come on. With this lock in place, the clutch cannot be pressed down as the lock disallows this to happen. Fantastic, great buy!

Bought this item for additional security for my vehicle. Construction and materials are very good. Easy and quick to to install / remove, from foot break to steering wheel. You would need to check measurements for your own vehicle, as it only opens to around 31.5" approx. Fitted my X3 perfectly. Keyed lock was easy to operate when the unit was in position. Good quality product would recommend.

This took a long time to get it delivered but it is heavy duty, i dont know how secure this is and how hard for thieves to open. Its more a deterrent.

Nice piece of kit - solid construction unlike the 1980's crook locks most people are used to - you could spend a lot of time kicking this one to no effect. Key operation a bit stiff when first out of bag so suggest working the key in the lock a few times before you actually use it. That will make sure its nice and smooth when in place (save any panic attacks if does not unlock first time). Great purchase. Very happy with it.

I have been looking for something similar to the "old" style Krooklok, as the new breed of steering wheel locks are troublesome. Came across this one on Amazon, but it comes from Germany. The order was despatched promptly and I received it one week after ordering.I am delighted with it, it is very well made and fits my Suzuki Swift perfectly, without damaging the leather steering wheel.Excellent quality and service.

The packaging for this was crazy. Largest box i have received via Amazon..for something that is shorter than a walking stick! Otherwise, its a pretty decent piece of kit. The key jams a little when locking and unlocking...just jiggle the bar up n down a little and it will eventually turn. I am just hoping the key won't ever break in the lock.

There's been a lot in the press about cars with keyless ignition being hacked and stolen recently. I wanted to add some additional security to my new car, and after surveying the market, decided on the Carlok - I had an original Krooklok way back in the 60s, so I trust the design.However, I used my old Krooklok on a manual Morris 1100, and was uncertain whether it's grandson would work with a Mercedes GLC Sport automatic.The Carlok connects the steering wheel and the brake pedal in the GLC. The keyless ignition requires the brake to be depressed while pressing the start button, and the Carlok prevents that. It works fine.Just a little care is needed to locate the Carlok on the brake pedal arm, but otherwise it's an easy job.There are two keys with the Carlok, and they worked smoothly with my Carlok.All in all, a good buy and I'd recommend it.
