AmtechI0655 25 Piece Mini Tool kit

OK, this is a cheap tool kit and not one for anything other than those jobs in the home where you need a screwdriver to tighten a single screw, pliers to remove something or cut a piece of wire. So I am using mine for those occasions where I need a small tool in the house for a quick fix, rather than a DIY project or the assembly of flat pack furniture.You receive in the ABS composite case a set of mini screwdrivers (?watchmakers?) which are incredibly useful and are always hard to find, a universal handle for the screw bits and the very small sockets; the sockets will probably not be used by me, a pair of wire cutters and some long nose pliers. The quality of the tools is reflected in the price, but from my perspective, they represent a great toolkit to sit in a drawer readly for that time where you have to remove a screw, fit a plug or in my case today, to remove some recessed GU16 bulbs which the long nosed pliers were great for removing the retaining clip and saved me having to go out to the shed to get a proper tool kit.In summary, not for DIY, but ideal when you just need to tighten a screw or similar small job.

Great kit for the money, the eyeglass repair screwdrivers are great, and everything works, my only problem with it is that the screwdriver bits seem a little low quality, and i have already stripped the small torx bit. Just thought everyone should know

Ok tools. Good at the price

This is an unashamedly low cost toolkit and the plastic case it comes in feels cheap and nasty as expected. Having said that, the tools therein are somewhat better quality than I expected at this price and seem to be withstanding near-daily use (admittedly, transferred to a nicer leather case).I do a lot of work in datacentres, and at this price, these kits are cheap enough to leave on a shelf in the racks I work in at each datacentre, thus avoiding the need to carry too many tools to each site (useful if flying - airlines don't like sharp pointy tools in cabin luggage these days).

Bought this set to replace another which got lost after I had it for about 7or 8 years. It really is a super little tool kit. That said, there is a drawback. While the tools are fit for purpose, the box is not. For example, unlike my last set where the precision screwdrivers just clicked into place, in this box the plastic is too soft and once taken out the screwdrivers are very difficult get back in. In fact, having just tried again, it is impossible to click the drivers into the spaces provided because the 'lugs' are too soft and simply bend inwards.

Great little tool pack that's handy for a good deal of jobs around the house and it's strong enough to deal with most jobs from putting back those tiny little screws in eye glasses to driving in wood screws.Use it lots.

OK - could be better - retaining magnet for bits is weak and the jewellers screwdrivers are forever falling out of their clips - annoying but does it's job.
