Trustin Portable Rechargeable 8GB Professional Digital Audio Voice Recorder with Dual Power Supply System Dictaphone Mp3 Player

This is a great little stereo digital recorder. What makes this stand out from most dictaphones is that it has a line input as well as a mic input and ofcourse an inbuilt mic. This allows for a wide range of input interconnections which is what I needed. A clip-on microphone (stereo minijack) is included and a stereo to stereo minijack lead for using with the line input. I needed to be able to record from the headphone output of my pc and this works great.It's also very easy to transfer files from the recorder to the pc via another provided usb cable. There's an option of recording either wav or mp3 using the mics and a choice of quality (highest 192Kbps). Using the line in the only choice is wav. There's also a minijack headphone output and again a set of earbud type headphones are included in the package.It's got a built-in lithium rechargable battery which charges from the pc using the usb cable, but also has a second option with a battery slot for a AAA battery as backup. There's also a voice activated recording function and the ability to playback at different speeds.So far I've found it to be easy to use and the quality is good. For the price I think this is excellent value.

found it difficult to revue the recordings for what i am using it for. Works well with a pc though, which is it`s only saving grace.

I do not have much experience of voice recorders but this I found easy to use, simple instructions, and it seems to work very well. Good that it has a back-up battery, which I am told is important. Quality of sound recorded is very good.

This product did not live up to my expectations. It did do the job that i wanted it for. It was worth the reduced price that I bought it for however, I would have been truly disappointed had I paid full price.

OK so this product has a list price of £100, which is why I'm giving it 1 star instead of 2 or 3 as it would have got otherwise. I strongly suspect that the 5 star reviews for this are fake or otherwise heavily 'incentivised'. The product performs OK as a voice recorder, but the finish is very cheap and the controls are unintuitive to use. The instructions are minimalist and not that helpful. But my biggest problem with it is that the external mic functionality (the main reason for which I bought it) doesn't work without a separate powered amp. No way is this worth £100, £15 would be more appropriate.

Extremely happy with both the recorder and speed of delivery. Quality of sound is good and more functionality appears when the sound file is downloaded to the computer. Very, very happy and does exactly what it says.

Brilliant

Good quality for budget recorder. The line-in recording (which is the one I will mostly use) is clear and background noise kept to minimum. I also like the Quick Start Guide which is just enough information.
