Great sticks!
I love these sticks. I always find Bates make quality, very durable sticks. The Funk Blasters are a good thickness and weight - somewhere between a 5a and a 2B. I like the extra weight verses a 5a (my previous usual stick). They last ages and feel very balanced.

Made of wood
and my drums like being hit with them.I do like Vater sticks, I find they last a bit longer that other brands I've used and feel good in the hand. They're not too heavy and they're nicely balanced.Lovely stuff.

Nice feel, but not as strong as other reviews would suggest
Really like the feel of this sticks, perfect wait an size. However they broke within in three weeks of use, will still be buying a new pair though.

Proper Good!
I was previously using the Vater 3A Fatbacks but wanted just a bit more of a bigger stick. The choice for me was between a standard Vater 5B or this version which is the exact same but just with a thicker taper. This provides more durability and power and can say it is the best stick I've ever played! I love Vater as the wood does not splinter or chip at all, which sadly isn't the case with other brands.This will now be the only stick I will ever buy!

Smooth and hard wearing.
These sticks are so well balanced and have a good weight to them, not to heavy, not too light. They can take a real beating but feel lovely and smooth to grip. Excellent sticks

The Only Stick I use
I have been using these sticks for about 5 years and I would never use anything else. They have a standard 5B handle but have a thick taper meaning they really can take a beating. I am a very hard hitter and these sticks last me far longer than any others, thoroughly recommend.

amazing!
i am an extremely hard hitter, when i get going and these are just amazing, after an hour of beating the hell out of my drums, they are still standing with barely any marks, they are a little heavier than most drumsticks which can hold you back a tiny bit but other than that they are awesome, my favourite sticks so far.im going to try some vic firth titan aero space carbon fibre next so ill update this when ive tried themw, there round $60/£40 so im hoping they will be a lot better
