Osma Alum Based Styptic Pencil

I recently started using the Osma Alum-Based Styptic Pencil after dealing with a few annoying nicks and cuts from shaving, and it has been a game-changer! This product works quickly and efficiently to stop bleeding, even from the smallest of nicks. Simply wet the tip and apply it to the cut, and within seconds, the bleeding is halted. The pencil is made from natural alum, and while it does have a slight tingling or stinging sensation upon application, it’s completely bearable and doesn’t last long. It’s a small price to pay for how effective it is. I also love that it’s compact and easy to store, so I can take it with me while travelling. The Osma Styptic Pencil also has a nice, clean feel to it and doesn’t leave any mess or residue on the skin once applied. It’s much more convenient and hygienic than using tissues or other makeshift methods. Overall, I highly recommend this styptic pencil to anyone who shaves regularly. It’s reliable, quick, and a must-have for preventing those little cuts from becoming a bigger issue. I’ll definitely be keeping this in my grooming routine!

There was a time when styptic pencils were readily available in all the high street chemists. Then the 'safety razor' arrived and they were no longer necessary. Except, of course, most of us use our safety razors for far longer than the manufacturers would like and they do get a little old and the blade does get a little damaged and we occasionally get that little knick on the skin that cascades blood like a fountain! This is for those occasions. If you prefer not to go to that important meeting with blood-soaked toilet paper stuck to your face then this is for you. A little bit of this will seal the cut quickly (A lot will make you look like you've dabbed your face with chalk in a louche, devil-may-care manner that just screams self-confidence). It comes in a kind of test tube and, if you haven't used one before - remember to dry it thoroughly after use or you'll come back to a test tube filled with damp salt that you'll need a toothpick to get out!

Does exactly as it says in the blurb. Had a bad nick from shaving that wouldn’t stop bleeding. Pressed the end of the Styptic pencil on it and after a few second’s and stinging. Job done

Osma Alum Based Styptic Pencil is a small handy stick for stopping tiny cuts after shaving. It uses potassium alum, a natural mineral, and is about 8cm long. It’s simple to use: wet the tip and apply to a nick to help stop bleeding quickly. At £2.59 it feels fairly cheap for what it does. With Amazon Prime delivery and easy returns, it is not much risk to try. It is not fancy, but it does the job for minor shaving accidents.

Previously I've had a small flat but wide stick of alum, ...this seems to work much better, faster, more focussed on the area cut. Dry it off on a clean towel prior to popping it back in it's transparant plastic test tube shaped container & this will last you a long time making for exceptional value. Simple, fast to clear up an shaving errors, & actually "less stingy" than my previous brand whilst being more effective. Prompt fast delivery, great kit, if you shave you ought to have one on standby. July 2016 update.. i'm downgrading this to 3 stars after lots of use, it snapped, ..will be going back to the chunkier style as a result, economically if this doesn't last (& the snapped pieces you try to use get mushy & need throwing away) then it's not really that good in terms of performance nor value.

I bought this to seal cuts on my hands quickly at work where I deal with clothing on the shop floor and can't afford to bleed on merchandise. It sorts this out brilliantly. I wanted a stick that I could carry on me but cost very little - this was cheap and did the job but the container is not suitable for carrying around in the pocket (not and Every Day Carry [EDC] object. I was lucky enough to have a small metal container that I could break a piece off that it fitted into nicely so I have it available at work. It wasn't perfect but with a little tweaking it now does exactly what I wanted it to.

Does the job and quickly delivered

This medi stick helps to cauterize a minor scratch or cut and stop it from bleeding. Works fantastic
